The Arctic region is rich in oil and gas resources.The development of polar marine oil and gas is the demand for sustainable energy development in the world,China will be more involved in the development of the Arctic In the future.On the one hand,the polar low temperature environment causes the sealing materials such as rubber to gradually become harder,and in the severe case,the original elasticity is lost,resulting in accidents such as sealing failure and downtime maintenance of key drilling equipment such as drilling pumps and blowout preventers;On the other hand,the viscosity and consistency of the lubricating grease increase,and the lubricating performance is lost in severe cases,which causes the lubrication failure of the turntable and the crane,which hinders normal production.In this paper,according to the requirements of the determination of tensile stress and strain of rubber in the national standard GB/T528-2009 and the determination of compression set of rubber in GB/T 7759.2-2014,the uniaxial tensile test and compression set deformation test of rubber under low temperature conditions.The rubber parameters were fitted with various superelastic constitutive models to obtain the model parameters.The applicability of different rubber superelastic constitutive models under low temperature conditions was discussed.At the same time,ABAQUS was used to simulate the sealing of low temperature drilling equipment.The results show that the Polynomial(N=2)model and the Ogden model can more accurately describe the mechanical properties of rubber under low temperature and small deformation conditions.The location where the sealing equipment is prone to damage and damage is located in the gap between the sealing ring and the sealing groove,silicone rubber,PTEF,gas phase glue,nitrile rubber still maintains superior sealing performance in polar environment.In accordance with the standard ASTM D445-2015 lubricant viscosity determination requirements and SH / T 0338-1992 grease low temperature torque measurement requirements,the lubricating oil kinematic viscosity and grease low temperature torque measurement experiments under low temperature conditions.Through the comparative analysis of experimental data,it is believed that the lubricants of the SHC series,the grease of the COMPLEX-SHD series can meet the lubrication requirements of the polar key drilling equipment.Taking into account the tensile strength,elongation at break,permanent deformation of compression and the polar low temperature drilling conditions,the optimization scheme of sealing materials for the polar drilling key equipment is presented;Taking into account the low temperature kinematic viscosity,the starting torque,operating torque of the lubricant,and the extremely low temperature drilling conditions,the optimal choice of lubrication material for the polar drilling key equipment is given.The analysis of the superelastic constitutive model of low temperature rubber and the optimization of sealing and lubricating materials provide theoretical guidance and reference for the selection of sealing lubricants for the subsequent polar drilling production equipment in China.
