The construction quality and service life of asphalt pavement depend largely on the performance of its tack coat material.In this thesis,CNOOC I-C SBS modified asphalt is used as raw material to produce a high-performance SBS modified emulsified asphalt used for tack coat.Major research procedure and test results are as follows:Through raw material properties analysis and blending experiments,the optimized raw material blending scheme is: the extracted oil mixing amount is 6.0 wt%;the modified asphalt is 175 ° C and blending 1 h.After blending,the softening point of the raw material was 70.3 ° C,and the ductility was increased from 34 cm to 50 cm.In view of the nature of the raw materials after blending,the imidazoline cationic emulsifier ICE is selected as basic emulsifier and preliminary experiments are carried out.It is found that the emulsifier ICE needs to be compounded with other emulsifiers and additives.By investigating the influence of the basic emulsifier ICE and different emulsifiers and auxiliaries on the main properties of SBS modified emulsified asphalt,the conclusion is: the basic emulsifier ICE and the emulsifier POE-1 form a compound system,the best combination ratio of the two is 3:1.In line with the optimized preparation conditions,the soap formulation and process conditions are identified by investigating the emulsifier amount,asphalt temperature and soap p H value as follows: modified asphalt 60wt%,soap 40wt% and emulsifier amount 2.0 wt%;the modified asphalt temperature is 175 ° C;the soap temperature is 65 ° C;the soap p H is2.0,and the emulsification pressure is 0.2 MPa.Finally,the SBS modified emulsified asphalt for the tack coat is made according to the emulsifier formula and the optimized process conditions,which meet the relevant technical requirements of JTG F40-2004.The sample manifests wonderful storage stability with an evaporation residue softening point of above 70 °C,good performance at high temperature,and low temperature crack resistance with a ductility of 28 cm at 5°C.A pilot-scale amplification test was carried out after the small-scale test.The performance of the pilot sample and the small test sample is equivalent showing that the SBS modified emulsified asphalt for tack coat has excellent performance and application prospect.
