Since dyes are toxic,they will not only cause damage to aquatic plants,but also have a certain risk of carcinogenesis to the human body.Therefore,various factories have tried their best to use various methods to reduce the chromaticity of their dyes,but the processing cost is too high.,The processing method is too complicated,so that the factory has to find a simpler and cheaper processing method.The focus of this article is to study the use of water hyacinth that is available everywhere in the river as a biomass carbon base,and then modify a series of different metal salts to prepare a cheap,large adsorption capacity and relatively stable adsorbent.In this paper,the dried water hyacinth(Water hyacinth,WH for short)is used as the preferred biomass charcoal(Biochar,BC for short)-based material,and the abbreviation for the prepared water hyacinth biomass charcoal:WHBC,using different metal salts Carry out activation modification to make it target certain dyes(acid red B(ARB),acid bright yellow G(AYG),acid fruit green(AFG),basic fuchsine(AR),basic fuchsine(AG),the color of alkaline bright yellow(AY)has a greater adsorption effect.Using some chemical characterization methods to analyze the difference between the morphology or chemical composition before and after BC modification.In the adsorption test using WH as the raw material of BC and using Mn Cl2 as the modifier,the adsorption efficiency(the amount of dye adsorbed per gram of BC)is2.8250 mg/g at 10 min.At 40 min,the modified WHBC is the adsorption capacity of AG reaches the maximum,the ultimate adsorption efficiency is 3.8755 mg/g,and the adsorption capacity begins to stabilize at 45 min.When the adsorption temperature reaches 318 K at 40 min,the effect of adsorption variables on performance results in the removal efficiency of AG at an initial concentration of 30 mg/L reaching 98%,which can reflect the modified effect.WHBC has a good adsorption effect for the chromaticity of AG.Place the dry WH in a muffle furnace for high temperature carbonization,and mix3.0 g of WHBC with Fe SO4 solution(0.99 mol/L).The BC obtained under this condition has a good effect on the chromaticity adsorption of acid dyes.When the modified WHBC adsorbed ARB and AYG,its average adsorption efficiency was 7.8425mg/g,and after 60 min,it was 8.3333 mg/g.The maximum adsorption capacities of the two dyes at 80 min were 8.1574 mg/g and 8.5593 mg/g.In terms of specific surface area,the modified WHBC is 6.3 times that of the unmodified WHBC.When the adsorption temperature is 80 min and the adsorption temperature reaches 318 K,the initial concentration of the simulated acid dye is 30 mg/L,and the effect of adsorption variables on the performance results in the removal efficiency of ARB and AYG of about 90%.Four metal acetates,nickel acetate,cobalt acetate,zinc acetate,and copper acetate were selected.Finally,it was found that the copper acetate modified WHBC has a relatively good effect on the chromaticity adsorption of acid-base dyes.This kind of metal salt modification is also no papers have been reported yet,so this chapter conducts a deeper experimental study of adsorption.The adsorption experiment data show that the modified WHBC prepared at 500?and holding for 2 h has a removal rate of 76.063%for ARB,68.0791%for AY,89.2746%for AFG,and 89.2746%for AR.65.1365%,the removal rate of AG is 95.5357%,and the removal rate of AY is 74.25%;when the conditions for preparing modified WHBC are 500?and holding for 2.5 h,the removal rate of ARB is 87.0866%,and the removal rate of AYG is 70.9290%,The removal rate of AFG is 76.3212%,the removal rate of AR is 93.3475%,the removal rate of AG is 98.0357%,and the removal rate of AY is 65.2500%.Comparing the data of the above two systems,although the adsorption performance for a single dye is not so outstanding,the adsorption performance of the two modified WHBC is relatively balanced for the decolorization performance of acid-base dyes and its removal rates are all 65%-98%.
