Research And Application Of "Zero Waste" Design Of Accessories

The fashion industry is the second-largest polluter on earth,than oil,which makes a sustainable fashion to be a must.This paper focus on Zero Waste Fashion Design(ZWFD).Firstly,we see it through the lens of the history of ZWFD.We conclude that people in ancient times had already practiced ZWFD,through a much simple way,and we know it's relevant to the economic development and the science and technology during which time people lived in.And it changed in time.We did a comparison between the Chinese and foreign outstanding design case,w,a conclusion is made through investigation of the state-of-art way of ZWFD,which includes "A-POC" design,jigsaw puzzle pattern cutting,Tessellation,DPOL,3D printing,waste recycle,and marketing,to share and emotional design in product sales,use and recycling process of systemic design method.Finally,by applying various design methods of zero waste comprehensively and combining with my own graduation theme,I carried out a series of design practices and applications of zero waste accessories(including bags,glasses and hat).There are many researches on the design practices and methods of zero waste on clothing in the fashion industry at home and abroad.In contrast,there are few researches on zero waste on accessories.However,the two products have a lot in common,such as materials,plate design,technology,etc.Therefore,the design methods should be able to learn from each other.This paper has sorted out the zero-waste design method of clothing and accessories products in detail and carried out innovative design application.Therefore,it can provide reference for accessories designers and has practical guiding significance.
