Plain But Not Simple

The tea culture is developed by the Chinese people's habit of drinking tea,while the Zen culture is developed by the localization of Indian Zen Buddhism in China.The Zen-tea culture makes use of tea to shorten the psychological distance between Zen and people,and puts forward that Zen meditation is like drinking tea,thus extending the thought and aesthetic taste of "combination of tea and Zen".This paper explores the artistic expression of jewelry from the aesthetic perspective of "combination of tea and Zen",pays attention to the creation aesthetics under Chinese traditional culture,the cultural phenomenon of the marriage of Zen and tea,and the cause of the aesthetic taste of "combination of tea and Zen".It also reviews the morphological development and laws of modern jewelry design,seeks for the correlation between Zen-tea culture and modern jewelry design.In the social environment with multiple problems exposed,in the context of the era of returning to the original simplicity,in the trend of jewelry becoming civilian and increasing personal demand,how should designers incorporate the aesthetic thoughts of Zen-tea in their works? To guide people to focus on the present,to explore the essence of life;To broaden the thinking of Zen-tea jewelry design and increase its cultural value.
