Honeycomb structure is a typical porous material.It is favored by people because of its light weight,sound insulation,impact resistance and good energy absorption characteristics.It is widely used in various fields,such as aerospace,national defense and military,shipbuilding and packaging protection and other industrial fields.The mechanical properties of the honeycomb structure after shear damage determine the integrity and stability of the structure.Therefore,research on the out-of-plane shear performance of honeycomb structures is beneficial to its wide application in various fields.In this paper,a series of research work has been carried out on the out-of-plane shear performance of honeycomb aluminum sandwich panels through a combination of experimental research and numerical simulation:First,an out-of-plane shear test device is proposed to carry out the out-of-plane shear test of single-layer panels and honeycomb aluminum sandwich panels.According to the different geometric parameters of panel thickness,cell side length,and core layer thickness,the aluminum honeycomb clamp is tested.The influence of the out-of-plane shear performance and energy absorption characteristics of the core plate is discussed.In addition,the finite element model of the single-layer panel out-of-plane shear and the honeycomb core static pressure is established,and the simulation results are compared with the test results to verify the reliability of the panel and core model.On the basis of the finite element model of the face plate and the core layer,the out-of-plane shear finite element model of the honeycomb aluminum sandwich panel is established to simulate the out-of-plane shear process of the honeycomb aluminum sandwich panel.On this basis,according to the parameters set in the experiment,the parameter expansion research and the influence parameter prediction are carried out.The research results show that the honeycomb aluminum sandwich panel has good out-of-plane shear performance.During the shearing process,the panel and the core layer did not separate,indicating that the honeycomb aluminum sandwich panel has good overall stability.Increasing the thickness of the panel,the thickness of the hole wall and reducing the side length of the cell can improve the out-of-plane shear performance of the honeycomb aluminum sandwich panel,and increasing the thickness of the honeycomb core layer and the cell side length can significantly improve the performance of the honeycomb aluminum sandwich panel.
