904L super austenitic stainless steel is a low carbon content of high alloying austenitic stainless steel,and it has good mechanical properties,process performance and strong corrosion resistance and welding performance was very good.Now in the chemical industry,alkali manufacturing,papermaking,sea water processing,oil refining,coking,and other industrial areas have practical applications.It also can be used for pressure vessel etc,thus it has a broad prospect of application.This passage uses MIG for the welding.Welding wire is ER385,for the 2mm y and 7 mm thick 904 L super austenitic stainless steel plate welding.To change the welding process parameters,the microstructure of welding joint carries on the observation and analysis,and at the same time for welding joint hardness testing and impact performance mechanical test.At last the most appropriate process parameters can be determined which adapts the welding joint performance can adapt to manufacturing and working conditions of use.The results of the study show that: 904 L super austenitic stainless steel is not sensitive to the heat input;there is no obvious heat affected zone.The welding process of fusion area composition is due to the mother material and the electrode remelting combination,is different from the mother material and solidification components weld,and gives priority to A model.It has smaller Grain degrees,which leads to welding joint mechanical properties poor.But the fusion welding neighborhood mechanical properties are relatively good.
