Firefighter clothing is fire fighters' most important protective equipment in the fire rescue activities.Great performance of firefighter clothing can protect their personal safety and improve their work efficiency.In the actual disaster relief process,often a variety of impurities and water attached to the surface of the firefighter clothing fabric,through the fabric pore penetration,interference with the organization of the fire clothing and protective ability,and with the contact friction of the surrounding objects will aggravate this situation.Therefore,in order to objectively reflect the real situation of the fire scene,the combined influence of moisture and friction on the protective property of firefighter clothing fabric was explored.In this paper,4 kinds of outer fabric,1 kind of moisture barrier fabric,1 kind of thermal barrier fabric and 1 kind of inner fabric were selected,and their physical parameters and flame retardant properties,breaking strength,tearing strength,air permeability and other physical properties were tested for preliminary analysis,and then they were combined into 4 kinds of fabric combinations.Then,4 kinds of outer fabrics and fabric combinations were pretreated with water,and humidified with different moisture content(one-layer: 30 %,60 %,100 %;multi-layer: 15 %,30 %,60 %),humidifying direction(outer direction and inner directon)and moistured with acid and alkaline sweat.The flame retardancy and TPP(Thermal Protective Performance)values of outer fabrics and the TPP values of fabric combinations were tested under wetting condition.A kind of simulated friction apparatus for testing fabrics with thermal protection properties was designed.4 kinds of outer fabrics and fabric combinations were pretreated with simulated friction loss at different friction times(300,600,900,1200,1500).The structural parameters,mechanical strength,air permeability and TPP values of the outer fabric after friction were tested,as well as the air permeability and TPP values of the fabric combination.The quantitative relationship of fabric thermal protection with structural parameters and single factor of moisture friction was analyzed by linear regression.Finally,the outer fabric and fabric combination with the largest TPP value were selected for pretreatment by the combined effect of moisture and friction,and the TPP value was tested.Variance analysis was used to explore the influence of moisture content,humidification direction,sweat and friction times on the thermal protection performance of the fabric,regression analysis was used to analysis the quantitative relationship of TPP with influencing factors and the correlation degree of each influencing factor to thermal protection was obtained through grey correlation analysis.The results showed that both distilled water and sweat could increase the specific heat capacity of the fabric,thus improving the flame retardancy and thermal protection of the outer fabric.The TPP value of the wetting fabric combination decreased first and then increased with the increase of moisture content,and the TPP value of the wetting fabric combination with sweat was the highest.After the friction treatment,the TPP of one-layer fabric changed a little.The TPP value of the friction fabric combination increased first and then decreased significantly with the increase of the friction times,and the Kevlar fabric was the most affected by the friction.The regression models of fabric thermal protection,structural parameters and moisture friction were established by regression analysis.The single effect of moisture and friction and the combined effect of moisture and friction had significant effects on the thermal protection of the fabric.For fabric combinations with moisture in outer direction,the effect of moisture on thermal protection was significant.For fabric combinations with moisture in inner direction,moisture content and moisture friction type and number of 3 factors' influence on the thermal protective action significantly,and the combination of the three kinds of factors on the influence of thermal protective significantly lower,and through the regression analysis to construct the thermal protective fabric with moisture content and moisture friction type and number of regression model.Finally,through the grey correlation analysis,it was found that the moisture content had the highest correlation with the TPP value of the single-layer fabric and the combination of externally wet fabric,and the moisture type had the highest correlation with the TPP value of the combination of externally humidified fabric.The influence of moisture and friction on the protective property of firefighting fabric was studied,which provides reference for the selection and treatment of firefighter clothing fabric.
