The friction between the tool and the workpiece material and the wear of the tool in the process of cutting difficult machined materials affect the quality of the machined surface seriously.Solid surface micro-texture has been applied in various industries because of its ability to effectively improve the surface friction and wear performance.In the manufacturing field,micro-texture tools have entered the research field of many scholars at home and abroad in order to improve the frictional contact state between the cutter-chip interface and reduce the cutting force and cutting temperature.The existing research mainly focuses on the application of micro-textured surface properties,but lacks the research on the textured morphology forming process.Surface wettability has a direct influence on fluid infiltration,lubrication and tribological properties of the interface.However,the influence of surface wettability is often ignored in the field of cutting.Therefore,this paper takes CBN tool as the research object,systematically studies the cutting performance and action mechanism of the textured tool,the influence law of laser processing parameters on the texture morphology,the surface wettability of the textured tool.The main research contents include:(1)Cutting simulation of micro-textured tool.The cutting simulation software Advantedge FEM was used to simulate the non-texturing tools and micro-texturing tools with pits,straight lines and positive spin-type.The simulation model of cutting tool was established,and the effects of different micro-texture morphology on cutting force,cutting temperature and chip were compared.The texture parameters of the micro-texture tool with positive spin micro-texture tool were optimized.The results show that under the same cutting conditions,the micro-texture on the surface of the tool can reduce the three-way cutting force,reduce the cutting temperature,and make the chip more easily crimp.The cutting performance of the micro-texture tool is related to the texture morphology.Micro texture tool to reduce the extent of the cutting force is closely related to the texture parameters combination,positive rotation type micro texture parameters on the main factors affecting the cutting force of primary and secondary sequence is: the space between the edge distance,texture,texture width,amplitude,cycle length,and obtained the optimum parameters of the texture,for further processing and preparation and application are screw type micro texture tool provides a reference basis.(2)Study on the fabrication technology of micro-textured tool.To explore in the laser processing texture processing parameters on the micro texture influences on morphology,found that the single factor experiment with the laser power,scanning speed,the increase of the number of processing parameter value internal by texture formation rules gradually became the shape of semicircle spherical and cylindrical,and will form the obvious phenomenon of "ridge",However,the surface of the tool becomes uneven because of the convex crown residue at the texture edge.The texture depth increases with the increase of laser power and processing times,but with the increase of laser power and processing times,the texture depth changes less and less,showing the phenomenon of "saturation".The texture depth increases first and then decreases with the increase of scanning speed.Laser machining of textured surfaces can increase the surface roughness,and the influence of laser power on the surface roughness is the greatest.(3)Study on wettability of textured cutter surface.The micro-textured tools with different shapes were measured by angular contact measuring instrument under different lubricant conditions,and the influence of texture parameters on the wettability of micro-textured tools was studied.The results show that the textured surface can improve the wettability of the cutter surface,and the solid-liquid equilibrium contact Angle increases first and then decreases with the increase of the droplet volume.The texture parameters have great influence on the wettability of the surface.Appropriate texture design size can improve the wettability of textured surface.(4)Cutting validation test study.Through cutting experiments,it is verified that micro-texture tool can improve the cutting performance of the tool.The cutting simulation model established in this paper can be used in the research of microtextured tools.The rake face wear of non-textured tools is the most serious,and that of micro-textured tools of concave type is the next.The rake face wear of linear and positive micro-textured tools is slight.The tool collapse occurs in both the nontextured tool and the micro-textured tool of the pit type.Linear and positive spinning micro-textured tools can improve the temperature dissipation performance of the cutting area,and thus prolong the service life of the tool.The surface roughness of the workpiece can be reduced by the insertion of micro-texture,and the reduction degree is related to the texture morphology.Under the condition of cutting fluid lubrication,the presence of micro-texture further reduces the roughness of the cutter surface.
