The main coal seams in the north mining area of Wudong coal mine are 43#and 45#,and the dip angle of coal seam is 43° to 51° which belongs to steeply inclined coal seam.Adopting horizontal section fully-mechanized caving mining method.In recent years,the frequent occurrence of rock burst in Wudong coal mine has affected the safety of the mine.Rock burst in Wudong coal mine is a kind of dynamic disaster under special mining conditions of steep coal seam.Therefore,it is of great significance to study the mechanism and prevention methods of rock burst.Based on the working face of Wudong coal mine as the background,this paper studies the mechanism and prevention methods of rock burst in Wudong coal mine by means of engineering investigation,rock mechanics test,physical similarity simulation and so on The results show that the special occurrence environment and strong geological structure of steeply inclined coal seam make the coal and rock have a high impact tendency;horizontal section fully-mechanized caving mining method increases the mining intensity of the coal seam,and the space structure is easy to form after the coal seam is mined out.With the increase of coal seam mining depth,the superposition of mining stress and deep ground stress results in the phenomenon of stress concentration on the roof of the working face.When the structure of overburden rock suddenly becomes unstable,it is easy to induce the appearance of rock burst on the working face.Aiming at the disaster mechanism of rock burst in fully mechanized top coal caving face of steep coal seam,the comprehensive prevention and control method of rock burst in fully mechanized top coal caving face of steep coal seam is constructed from the aspects of surrounding rock weakening(water injection)and roof pressure relief(blasting).The prevention and control effect of rock burst is verified by the method of borehole television and transient electromagnetic monitoring of roof cracks.The research results of this paper reveal the disaster mechanism of rock burst in fully mechanized top coal caving face of steep seam in Wudong coal mine,put forward the targeted prevention methods of rock burst in working face,ensure the safe and efficient mining of working face,and provide a reference for the safe mining of fully mechanized top coal caving face of steep seam under similar conditions.
