With the continuous improvement of people's living standard,the transformation of high-branched thin of wool textiles has become an inevitable trend of market development.The characterisstics about Worsted wool fabric of high branch light and thin are low strength,much and long feather and poor wear-resistant.If the fine wool warp yarn is not sized,weaving will be very difficult and even can't produced and fundamentally the result restricts the development of worsted wool fabric of high branch light,so it is very necessary to size for worsetd wool warp yarn.First of all,it is non-degradability of the current PVA size,the research prepared a protein size is suitable for worsetd wool warp yarn and can be fully biodegradable;In addition,due to the characteristics of wool fiber itself,there are different requirements for size groove temperature,squeezing pressure and size solid content and other factors in the sizing process of worsetd wool warp yarn,so it has been carried out systematicly,including the following aspects:(1)According to the problem that there is no suitable sizing machine for sizing of wool yarn,a single yarn sizing machine suitable for wool yarn is designed in cooperation with textile machinery factory.The influence of squeezing pressure on coating and permeating of wool yarn is studied by SEM.Under the action of squeezing pressure,it can be seen from the shape structure of the longitudinal and horizontal section of the sizing yarn that the sizing membrane is complete,the size can penetrate into the yarn effectively,the yarn body structure is tight and the single yarn sizing function designed with the pressssur device meets the sizing requirements of the wool worsted warp yarn.(2)In the water system,the gelatin-acrylamide copolymerized wool yarn sizing(Gel-M)was prepared by grafting copolymerization with ammonium persulfate as initiator.FTIR analysis showed that polyacrylamide grafted onto the molecular chain of gelatin,which provided abundant amide groups for its polypeptide chain,could increase the molecular weight of gelatin polypeptide chain and make its spatial structure complex;meanwhile graft copolymerization reduced the number of amino and subamino groups of gelatin and could effectively weak the formation of intermolecular hydrogen bonds.XRD and DSC analysis showed that Gel-M crystallinity and glass transition temperature were lower than gelatin.For the above reasons,Gel-M size is now dissolved in warm water without condensation at indoor temperature.(3)Gel-M size shows excellent slurry fluidity and high viscosity stability compared with gelatin size,which accords with the sizing requirements.Gel-M sizing membrane shows uniform and smooth surface morphology that is high transparency.The mechanical properties and contact angle tests show that the brittleness of Gel-M sizing membrane is obviously improved and shows good wettability.(4)Using Gel-M size to carry out sizing for practicing on typical JW16.7tex and JW22.3tex wool yarns,There were discussed respectively the effects of size groove temperature,squeezing pressure and solid content on sizing percentage and sizing performance.Combined with the characteristics of small size of single yarn sizing machine,the reasonable sizing process parameters are as follows: the temperature of the size tank is indoor temperature?squeezing pressure is 44 N and the solid content of the size is 8%.(5)Studing the relationship between temperature and humidity and the performance of worsted wool warp yarn and its sizing yarn.It's found that the moisture absorption and dehumidification regularities of raw yarn and sizing yarn are similar under different humidity.The absorption moisture regain of the raw yarn and the sizing yarn increases rapidly between 0 and 120 min,and between 120 and 200 min is in a slowly increasing state;after 200 min the equilibrium state is reached.The wool yarn in the hygroscopic saturation status was wetted under the condition of RH60% and 22?,and it was found that the moisture regain of the wool yarn was in equilibrium after 60 min.(6)The weaving practice of JW 16.7tex sizing yarn and JW 22.3tex sizing yarn was carried out.The results show that the weaving efficiency of worsted wool warp yarn is obviously improved after sizing.(7)The moisture absorption and quick drying properties of the worsted wool fabrics were tested by single combination test and dynamic moisture transfer method.The results show that the moisture absorption and quick drying performance of single warp and single weft fabric is better than that of double warp and double weft fabric.Figure 47,Table 14,References 83.
