3D woven composite material is an advanced fabric composite material.The impact resistance and delamination resistance of the material have been greatly improved through add yarn in the outside direction,so it has been widely used in the field of aerospace.However,in the aerospace field,high-speed impact problems,such as the impact damage caused by engine blade fracture to the engine casing,are always a serious accident mode.Therefore,it is necessary to study the high-speed impact behavior of three-dimensional woven composite materials,analyze their damage mode and impact resistance performance.In this paper,the damage mechanical behavior of a three-dimensional woven composite material under quasi-static penetration is studied by means of simulation analysis and experiment,and the response of the material under high-speed punching is described,mainly including the following aspects:Firstly,the fixture and test scheme of 3D woven composite quasi-static penetration test were designed,the damage behavior and damage characteristics of the plate under different SPR values were studied,and the influence of SPR value on the quasi static penetration damage behavior of 3D woven composite plate is studied.Secondly,a macro progressive damage simulation model for 3D woven composites is developed.Based on the 3D Hashin damage criterion,five damage modes were considered and an exponential damage evolution model is introduced to describe the deterioration of the material properties after damage.At the same time,the strong correlation between the simulation results and the mesh size caused by strain softening in the simulation analysis of progressive damage is studied.A correction method considering logarithmic strain is proposed and verified,and it is found that the correction effect is good.Finally,the quasi static penetration problem of 3D woven composites is simulated and analyzed.A quantitative analysis method of control variables is used for the material parameters such as damage evolution factor,which are important in the damage model but not easy to be measured by test.The quasi-static penetration model with SPR=4 and SPR=6 is simulated and analyzed.The relationship between load-displacement characteristics and damage mode of 3-D woven composites under quasi-static penetration is obtained,and the damage mechanism of materials is analyzed from the macro level.
