People's awareness of environmental protection is getting higher and higher, the development of new energy vehicles is booming, and people's demand for the performance of automobile tires is increasing day by day.The use of traditional filler carbon black and white carbon black to reinforce the rubber matrix has gradually been unable to meet the needs of people. The raw material of carbon black is petroleum, which is a non-renewable resource. The production process of white carbon black is complicated, and it is difficult to be uniformly dispersed in the rubber matrix, which affects the performance of rubber. Therefore, finding a green rubber filler that satisfies the performance of tires and exploring its industrial application has become an urgent problem for people to solve.Based on this, this paper finds a new type of silica-rich rubber filler diatomaceous earth, which is surface-modified and applied to tire rubber formulations to study its effect o n the overall performance of the rubber matrix. The main component of diatomaceous earth is silicon dioxide. This article uses10% sulfuric acid to immerse the diatomaceous earth to remove the metal oxides of elements such as Fe and Al that affect rubber vulcanization. The modification of diatomaceous earth is explored. The effect of adding to the natural rubber matrix afterwards. It was found that compared with the unpickled diatomite filler, the fracture stress of the natural rubber composite material aft er diatomite modification increased by 17%,and the cutting resistance before and after aging was increased by about 15%.Compared with the original natural rubber composite material formula, the rolling resistance of the acid-washed diatomite natural rubber composite material is reduced by 13.5%,and the internal temperature rise of the rubber matrix is reduced by 14.2%.The addition amount of diatomite in the rubber matrix after pickling was studied, and the maximum amount of diatomite purified by picklin g to replace carbon black in the formulation was explored. It is found that in the range of0-40wt%,because the structural strength of diatomite itself is lower than that of carbon black particles, the use of diatomite instead of carbon black will reduce the mechanical properties of natural rubber composites by about 10% for every 10%added amount. In order to improve the dispersibility of diatomaceous earth in the rubber matrix and make the diatomaceous earth achieve the ideal reinforcement effect, the diatomaceous earth is added in the process of isoprene polymerization,so that the diatomaceous earth is uniformly covered by polyisoprene.Encapsulation,so as to improve its dispersion into the rubber matrix.Using XPS,FT-IR,TG,SEM and other analytical methods, the polymer modified diatomite/natural rubber composite material was analyzed.Through the mechanical performance test,it is found that compared with the unmodified diatomite/natural rubber composite, the modified fracture stress is increased by 20% at the maximum, the elongation at break is increased by 27.5%,and the fracture stress at high temperature is increased by about57.5%,the cutting resistance and tear resistance are also significantly improved.Compared with the original formula, the rubber composite material has reduced rolling resistance by about 33.3%,increased fracture stress performance at high temperature by 32.4%,and has better compression heat generation performance. The effect of different feed ratios of isoprene and diatomaceous earth on the properties of natural rubber composites was studied. It was found that when the feed ratio of diatomaceous earth increased, the tear resistance, rolling resistance and cutting resistance of the rubber composites were all Some improvement, the mechanical properties show a trend of first increasing and then decreasing. In the polymerization modification stage, the feed ratio of diatomaceous earth and isoprene monomer is 1:5,and the mechanical properties are optimal when the addition amount in the rubber formula is 20 parts.
