Medical gloves are widely used and have a good protective effect.However,the most commonly used latex gloves have disadvantages such as poor compactness,poor puncture resistance,and easy to cause allergies.Waterborne polyurethane(WPU)material has the advantages of environmental friendliness,safety and non-toxicity,and its performance has a large adjustable range with the change of formula,and can adapt to different application environments.Medical gloves prepared with WPU as the base material have the advantages of high strength,good compactness,good wear resistance,good aging resistance,and high sensitivity.Moreover,it has good biocompatibility and is not easy to cause allergies.It can replace latex gloves as high-performance medical gloves.In this paper,polytetrahydrofuran ether glycol(PTMEG)and dicyclohexylmethane-4,4'-diisocyanate(HMDI)were used as the main raw materials to synthesize WPU.Through FT-IR spectra,mechanical performance testing and water resistance testing,the effects of chain extender types,hard segment content,isocyanate index and hydrophilic chain extender content on the performance of WPU were studied.The results showed that when the chain extender was 1,4-butanediol,the hard segment content was 27.5%,the isocyanate index was 1.15,and the hydrophilic chain extender content was 5%,the tensile strength of WPU was 13.17 MPa,the elongation at break was 1027%,the 100%modulus was 1.84 MPa,the water absorption was 19.7%,and the overall performance was good.Through the Michael addition reaction,hexafluorobutyl methacrylate(HFMA),diethanolamine(DEA)and 1,3-cyclohexanedimethylamine(BAC)were used as raw materials to synthesize hydroxyl-terminated chain extender containing fluorocarbon side chain(HFMA-DEA)and amino-terminated chain extender containing fluorocarbon side chain(HFMA-BAC).HFMA-DEA,HFMA-BAC and capping agent 2,2,3,4,4,4-hexafluorobutanol(HFBA)were used as raw materials to synthesize fluorinated WPU.The effects of three organic fluorine introduction methods,hydroxyl-terminated chain extender,amino-terminated chain extender and capping agent,on the performance of WPU were studied.The results showed that WPU had good mechanical properties,water resistance,smoothness and emulsion stability when using hydroxyl-terminated chain extenders to introduce organic fluorine,and the overall performance was the best.Through the Michael addition reaction,trifluoroethyl methacrylate(TFMA)and DEA were used as raw materials to synthesize the hydroxyl-terminated chain extender with short fluorocarbon side chain(TFMA-DEA).TFMA-DEA and HFMA-DEA were used as raw materials to synthesize a series of fluorinated WPU.The effect of the length of the fluorocarbon side chain of the fluorinated chain extender and the amount of the fluorinated chain extender on the performance of WPU was studied.The results showed that when HFMA-DEA was used as the chain extender and the amount was 3 wt%,the tensile strength of WPU was 15.28 MPa,the water absorption was 16.4%,the dynamic friction factor was 0.293,the 100%modulus was 2.19 MPa and the elongation at break was 902%,the overall performance was good,and it can be used as the base material of medical gloves.
