A Study On The " Healing Feature" Design Of Ceramic Lamps ——My Work "The Light Monster" Series As An Example

Contemporary society is undergoing rapid and drastic development,causing our lives to be characterized by changes.The materialistic society exposes individuals to enormous pressures that vary from previous ones.Statistics reveal that the prevalence of mental illnesses including depression and anxiety has been on the rise in recent years among all age groups.Mental health issues have gained considerable attention in our lives.Art therapeutics is also emerging as a discipline in major universities.The role that art plays in life is currently being reshaped,resulting in a new culture-the culture with healing feature.Healing refers to the conscious or unconscious act of comforting and rehabilitating spiritual trauma through the human senses of sight,sound and touch,leading to a sense of comfort or emotional belonging."Healing feature" design refers to the integration of elements that are comforting and stress-relieving,allowing people to unwind during the interaction.Ceramic lamps enjoy a long history.From its initial use as a container for lighting,it has evolved into a practical and decorative lamp of high quality.The characteristics of the porcelain clay together with the combination of glazes could yield a myriad of effects.By fully harnessing the texture and richness of porcelain decoration,the design of ceramic lamps allows for more healing possibilities.This study centers on the “healing feature” of ceramic lamps,integrating the characteristics of ceramic materials and the application of comprehensive materials,with an emphasis on creating a sense of spatial ambience.Through practical exploration of the feasibility of the "healing" function of ceramic lamps,the design of ceramic lamps is made more diverse and humanistic,thereby enriching daily use ceramic products and theoretical research.
