Nano TiO2 has strong photocatalytic and antibacterial self-cleaning properties due to its high oxidation activity.Polyacrylate is widely used in fabric coating because of its simple production process,low production cost,environmental protection,good film-forming ability and strong fabric adhesion.Experiments using sol-gel synthesis of nanometer titanium dioxide,successful preparation of the nanometer titanium dioxide with particle size of 10nm,and carries on the modification of the silane coupling agent KH-560,and with methyl methacrylate(MMA),butyl acrylate(BA)as the hard and soft monomer acrylic acid(AA)as functional monomer,adding suitable amount of modified nano TiO2sol,with potassium persulfate as initiator under a certain temperature was prepared by in situ emulsion polymerization of modified nano TiO2/polyacrylate composite emulsion.Experiments were designed to explore the influence of the amount of emulsifier,the content of TiO2 and the concentration of initiator on the particle size of latex.The uniform and stable composite emulsion was obtained.The fracture strength,moisture permeability and antibacterial properties of the composite emulsion were tested before and after coating.The antibacterial cotton fabric had99.9%bacteriostatic effect on Escherichia coli and Candida albicans,and the antibacterial effect on escherichia coli was still 98.7%after 10 washes of the composite emulsion,and99.7%on candida albicans.With the increase of nano-titanium dioxide content in nano-titanium dioxide/polyacrylate film,the tensile strength of cotton embry-cloth gradually increases,and reaches the maximum when the content of nano-titanium dioxide reaches 1%.Nano titanium dioxide are attached to the microbial cell surface by electrostatic effect,interference of living cell material and information exchange,KH-560 after modification of nano titanium dioxide could lead to the nanometer titanium dioxide absorption spectrum redshift,can improve the utilization of nanometer titanium dioxide to sunlight,electron/hole pairs and reactive oxygen species produced by nanometer titanium dioxide photocatalysis under visible light irradiation reaction,cause the decomposition of the cellular structure,interfering with the synthesis of protein.
