Study On The Innovative Design Of Modern Furniture Patterns Of Yi Nationality

The Yi nationality is the sixth largest minority nationality in our country,and the Yi nationality culture is a part of Chinese culture.Inheriting and carrying forward the Yi nationality culture is the mission given to furniture design researchers by the times.In the Yi culture,the home culture of the Yi people is very colorful,but there is very little in-depth research on it.Patterns,as a medium of Yi culture,use furniture as a carrier to show the world the art and culture of Yi people.In recent years,it has become the focus of design research.Under the influence of our country’s poverty alleviation policy,Yi residents moved into new houses,and their living habits and furniture needs have undergone tremendous changes.Traditional furniture can no longer meet the needs of their modern life.This thesis takes the Liangshan Yi furniture pattern as the starting point to carry out innovative design research on modern Yi furniture.Simply transplanting traditional patterns to modern furniture will create a sense of conflict with the modern home environment,so it should be innovated on the basis of traditional patterns and based on modern aesthetic principles,so that it not only contains Yi culture but also satisfies modern aesthetics.This study conducted three comprehensive field investigations on Liangshan Yi furniture and collected 188 patterns.On this basis,design semiotics is introduced to study traditional patterns,and the artistic characteristics,cultural connotations,pattern combinations,composition methods and decoration techniques of the Liangshan Yi furniture patterns collected are analyzed in detail.Then combined with the research of modern furniture decoration elements,characteristics and craftsmanship,the method and way of applying Liangshan Yi furniture patterns in modern furniture is discussed.The conclusions drawn in this article are as follows:(1)It verified the feasibility of design semiotics in the theoretical research and innovative design of Yi furniture patterns.(2)The inheritance of the furniture culture of the Yi nationality requires innovation in the form of patterns,design methods and decoration techniques to meet the development needs of modern furniture.(3)Constructed a multi-dimensional evaluation model to quantitatively analyze and optimize the plan,which has strong practicability.(4)The innovative design methods,application principles and applicable decoration techniques of Liangshan Yi furniture patterns are proposed.The design practice in the thesis verifies conclusions,and uses a multi-dimensional evaluation system to evaluate the design plan and obtain the optimal plan.Through this research,it is expected to play a certain role in promoting the development of Liangshan Yi people’s modern furniture,and have enlightening significance and reference value for the inheritance and development of Liangshan Yi people’s culture in furniture design.
