The infection of bacteria and viruses has posed a great threat to the living environment of human beings.Meanwhile, the traditional petroleum-based materials have caused great pollution to the environment,so the call for the development of green and safe bio-based materials is getting higher and higher.Cellulose is a polysaccharide widely distributed and abundant in nature, which has been widely used since a long time ago. However, the polysaccharide structure of cellulose materials is easy to be infected with bacteria and become a breeding ground for viruses and carriers for the spread of diseases. Therefore, many industries have put forward higher requirements for the antibacterial performance of cellulose materials. In this paper,a new type of hemp fiber material was prepared by simple and mild Schiff base reaction with the organic antibacterial agent lysine grafted N-halamine and hemp fiber as raw materials. The hemp fiber material combines various sterilization methods such as hemp fiber, amino acid schiff base and N-halamine.The synergistic effect of different sterilization methods greatly improves the antibacterial performance of the material and reduces the possible bacterial resistance.Based on the preparation and properties of halamine Schiff base hemp fiber materials and their film composites, the following two aspects of work were carried out:(1)Preparation and properties of Lysine-grafted N-halamine Schiff base hemp fiber materials. In order to prepare a variety of antibacterial methods, green cellulose antibacterial materials, lysine and 3-aminoethyl-5,5-dimethylhaine(ADMH)to prepare lysine grafted Nhalamine(Ly-ADMH).Based on dialdehyde hemp fiber(DAH)and Ly-ADMH,lysine grafted N-halamine Schiff base hemp fiber(DAH-Ly-ADMH)was prepared by Schiff base reaction.FT-IR,TG,XPS,SEM,XRD and other methods were used to characterize the structure and morphology of the material. At the same time, antibacterial experiments showed that the material could completely inactivate Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli in 5 min.By designing the structural design of Schiff base formed between N-halamine and hemp grafted by lysine. The material combines the sterilization means of various raw materials, and the material with high sterilization effect, excellent low toxicity and biocompatibility effectively solves the problem that cellulose material lacks antibacterial ability.(2)Preparation and properties of modified dialdehyde cellulose-based composite filmCellulose has huge reserves in nature and is environmentally friendly,so it is widely used in food packaging, medical and health care and other industries. However, cellulose is difficult to dissolve in general organic solvents,so most cellulose films are difficult to form, high cost and low yield. In this chapter, dialdehyde cellulose with high aldehyde group content was prepared by oxidation, dissolved in hot water and then simply blended with DAH-Ly-ADMH to obtain cellulosic antibacterial film with good antibacterial properties.Through the ultraviolet spectrum, universal testing machine,DMA,infrared spectrum and so on research to the physical and chemical properties, antibacterial experiments show that film can kill 99% of the bacteria in five minutes and has good storage stability and regeneration performance, for the green antibacterial film preparation provides an effective feasible method,in food packaging, medical and health direction has wide potential applications.
