Empirical Research On The Relationship Between ESG Performance And Enterprise Competitiveness Of Listed Companies

Under the background of green ecological civilization,the sustainable development ability of enterprises is becoming more and more important,and environmental,social and corporate governance(ESG)has gradually become an important standard to measure the competitiveness of enterprises.Existing studies have shown that corporate environmental regulation,social responsibility and corporate governance have a positive impact on corporate competitiveness.With the deepening of the research on the relationship between ESG and corporate competitiveness,the starting point of this paper is whether the ESG as a whole can become the independent choice of enterprises.This paper generalizes the mature enterprise competitiveness theory,and the development process of ESG theory at home and abroad are summarized,with sustainable development theory,stakeholder theory,and the evaluation of the competitiveness theory as the theoretical research of this paper,on the two different dimensions to the empirical analysis and case inspection way to explore the ESG performance of listed companies and the relationship between enterprise competitiveness.With 16 domestic industry from 2016 to 2018 of 418 listed companies as research samples,multiple regression analysis by SPSS 21.0,in combination with the industrial and commercial bank of China ESG practice,confirmed the ESG performance of listed companies was associated with enterprise competitiveness,and introduce related competitiveness Jin Bei researcher dimensions of three aspects--scale,growth,efficiency,regression results show that the environmental,social responsibility and corporate governance of listed companies the influence of the scale of the enterprise competitiveness,efficiency,competitiveness is greater than the growth in competitiveness,in addition,The overall ESG level of listed companies has a higher comprehensive impact on enterprise competitiveness than any two factors.Among them,social responsibility plays an important role in improving enterprise competitiveness.With the further improvement of ecological construction civilization,enterprises with better performance of ESG will surely show their advantages of sustainable development.ESG has gradually become the independent choice of enterprises,which plays a more active role in promoting the sustainable development of listed companies in China.
