With the acceleration of industrialization, industrial wastewater containing toxic heavy metal elements enters the environment.Along with huge benefits,China’s ecological environmental problems also deserve attention.Among them, water pollution has always been the focus of public attention. The use of mussel shell as a green adsorbent not only turns a large number of solid waste shellfish into treasure, improves the ecological environment and realizes resource utilization, but also optimizes the specific conditions for cadmium adsorption, providing valuable theoretical and practical basis for human beings.Scanning electron microscope, energy analysis, infrared spectrum,X-ray diffraction analysis and Zeta potential analysis by mussel powder performance the structure of representation, temperature after that has been optimized, single factor controlled trials mussel powder and then used as absorbent, cadmium content wastewater in cadmium ions suction simulation. We adopted a method of binding BBD and RSM,controlled different conditions, and achieved the optimal effect of cadmium ion adsorption performance, and we came to the following key conclusions:(1)Mussel powder is composed of micron-level lamellar structure, grows in a specific direction and the lamellar thickness is basically the same, which is very conducive to the adsorption of cadmium ions by mussel powder. There is no variation of mussel powder before and after adsorption.During the adsorption process, ion exchange on the surface of mussel powder is mainly completed by calcium ions.Through Zeta potential analysis, the absolute value of Zeta potential of different particle sizes of mussel powder was measured under neutral conditions, and the dispersion and stability of 100 mussel powder in water were more significant.(2)In order to obtain the optimal conditions for subsequent tests, four significant influencing factors were determined, namely, the addition amount of mussel powder was 3g·L-1,the particle size of mussel powder was 100 mesh, the initial solution concentration of cadmium ion was 50 mg·L-1,and the adsorption time was 24 h.(3)The Box-Behnken Design(BBD)and the combination of response surface method(RSM),investigates the purple mussels powder dosing amount, particle size, initial concentration of cadmium and affect the performance of cadmium ion adsorption, adsorption time data results show that the reliability is high,he with purple mussels powder particle size and initial interaction of cadmium ion concentration of cadmium ion adsorption quantity have a significant impact, purple mussels powder particle size and the interaction of adsorption time had a significant effect on the adsorption quantity.(4)The optimal adsorption conditions obtained by response surface model study and optimization were revised:diameter mesh 80,mussel powder added 3.70 g·L-1,initial solution concentration 56.83 mg·L-1,adsorption time 25.82 h,under this optimal condition, the adsorption capacity was 17.80 mg·g-1.Starting from solving the problem of cadmium containing wastewater, this study not only opened up a new idea for the utilization of waste purple Muscat mussel with good adsorption performance and low cost, but also used BBD combined with response surface optimization method to obtain the optimal conditions.
