In this paper,a kind of adsorbent,anion exchange fiber loaded with zirconium oxide(Zr@SAAEF)was prepared.The raw material was the strong alkaline anion exchange fiber(SAAEF),which was to impregnate with zirconium sulfate solution.Finally sodium hydroxide solution was used to precipitate zirconium dioxide onto surface of SAAEF.The preparation of Zr@SAAEF was optimized,and the maximum zirconium content was 0.4193g·g-1.The optimal reaction conditions were p H value of 1.0,temperature of 348 K and zirconium sulfate solution of 0.3 mol·L-1.Scanning electron microscopy,fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,and BET surface area analyzer were used to investigate the structure and properties of Zr@SAAEF.The adsorption properties of Zr-SAAEF on F-or As(V)were mainly investigated,including p H value,temperature,initial concentration,the effect of competing anions on adsorption,and column adsorption and desorption.The results showed that Zr@SAAEF was selectively specific for fluorine when the concentration ratio of fluoride ions and coexisting anions(SO42-or Cl-)was greater than 1:2.The optimal removal of fluoride conditions were p H value of 6.0,temperature of 333 K,the initial concentration of 100 mg·L-1,the maximum adsorption capacity was 40.66 mg·g-1.Zr@SAAEF was used to adsorb 10 mg·L-1 of F-solution dynamically,the effluent F-concentration of 1 mg·L-1 as the penetration point,the treatment capacity could reach 1110 BV;When the concentration ratio of arsenate and coexisting anion(SO42-or Cl-)was greater than 1:20,Zr@SAAEF has good selectivity for As(V).While phosphate and arsenate compete for adsorption,it was not conducive to remove arsenate.The optimal removal of As(V)conditions were p H value of 5.0,temperature of 333 K,the initial concentration of 100 mg·L-1,the maximum adsorption capacity was 93.72 mg·g-1.Zr@SAAEF was used to adsorb 100 mg·L-1 of As(V)solution dynamically,the effluent As(V)concentration of 5 mg·L-1 as the penetration point,the treatment capacity could reach 96 BV.The F-or As(V)adsorbed on Zr@SAAEF column can be completely eluted with Na OH(0.5mol·L-1)solution.Thermodynamic studies showed that the adsorption of Zr@SAAEF to F-or As(V)was described as the Langmuir model,however,the adsorption of Zr@SAAEF to As(Ⅲ)was described as the Freundlich model.The adsorption of F-or As processes were easy to occur.The fluorine or arsenic adsorption by Zr@SAAEF depended on ion exchange chemisorption,and they were spontaneous,entropy increased endothermic reactions.Kinetic studies have shown that the adsorption time of F-or As(V)or As(Ⅲ)by Zr@SAAEF were was 50,300 and 150 min,the adsorption speed was fast.And the adsorption process was suitable for pseudo-second-order kinetic model.The kinetics of fluorine or arsenic adsorption by Zr@SAAEF were mainly controlled by the mechanism of chemical action,rather than the material transport step.The fitting of the Elovich model showed that the adsorption process was a complex heterogeneous diffusion process.The diffusion was dominated by the external diffusion of F-or As(V) or As(Ⅲ).
