Because of its unique structure and properties,fatty alcohols are used as key reaction intermediates in the synthesis of various chemicals.So they are widely used in surfactants,personal health care products,cosmetics,pharmaceuticals and food industries.Fatty alcohols can be divided into synthetic fatty alcohols and natural fatty alcohols,and natural fatty alcohols are more concerned because they come from green and renewable natural resources.The catalysts for the preparation of fatty alcohols from natural oils and fatty acids are mainly Cu-Cr catalysts,but the synthesis process of this kind of catalytic system will cause serious pollution to the environment and the catalytic reaction conditions are harsh.Therefore,it is of great significance to develop a simple,recyclable and mild catalytic system for the hydrogenation of natural oils to fatty alcohols.In this work,a green and efficient catalytic system was designed to catalyze the selective hydrogenation of fatty acids or oils to prepare natural fatty alcohols.The cobalt was used as the hydrogenated metal,a series of cobalt catalysts(Co-EGW-OR、Co-W-OR、Co-DP-OR、Co-EGW-HT-OR、Co-EG-HT-OR、Co-W-HT-OR)were prepared by different methods for hydrogenation of stearic acid,and Co-DP-OR catalyst showed the optimal hydrogenation activity by comparing the catalyst activity.As the result,the conversion of stearic acid reached 97.44%in 200°C isopropanol,the yield of stearyl alcohol was 93.34%,and the catalyst still had high catalytic activity after 7 times.The catalyst was characterized in detail by a series of characterization methods.The incorporation of sodium metal,the smallest Co(111)and Co(111)crystallite size,and the synergistic effect between Co O and minimum of Co~0made the Co-DP-OR catalyst exhibit optimal catalytic activity.Co-DP-OR catalyst was used to catalyze the one-step hydrogenation of Jatropha oil to obtain better reaction results.Using jatropha oil as the reactant,the experimental reaction parameters were optimized.The experimental results showed that after reacting for 5 hours at 200°C,35 m L of isopropanol,and the mass ratio of catalyst to Jatropha oil of 1:0.57,the fatty alcohol has the maximum yield of 85.50%.In addition,we also use erucic acid,mixed fatty acids,olive oil,mustard oil,high erucic acid rapeseed oil as reactants,and achieved good experimental results.In this paper,waste oils is used as raw materials for the preparation of natural fatty alcohols for the first time.In the presence of Co-DP-OR catalysts,three different sources of waste oils and fatty alcohols are catalyzed in an isopropanol environment at 220°C,the alcohols yield reached 40%.The catalyzed hydrogenation of natural oils and fats to prepare fatty alcohols system developed in this thesis does not require pretreatment of oils,no need to add additional hydrogen,simple and efficient operation,safe and green,and realizes high-value conversion of oils with low edible value.
