Aerosol particle size spectrometer is the main instrument for measuring particle size distribution in gas.The accuracy of its results is directly related to the reliability of measurement data in environmental protection and meteorological fields,as well as the performance evaluation of environmental protection products. At present, there is no corresponding metrology standard in China. In this paper, the calibration technology for aerosol particle size spectrometer is studied.A monodisperse particle generator based on the ink-jet droplet generator was developed for the purposed of meeting the particle size and number concentration alibration requirements for light scattering aerosol particle size spectrometer in the range of large than 0.5μm.By controlling the parameters of the generator and the concentration of the raw material, monodisperse aerosols with particle size distribution less than 4.2%in the range of 0.5~20μm can be obtained, which can meet the calibration requirements for aerosol particle size spectrometer. The particle size and number concentration of ink-jet aerosol generator can be strictly controlled in 0.5~20μm and 1~20 particles/cm3 with uncertainty of 2.4%and 3.2%(k=2).Based on the developed ink-jet aerosol generator and other commercial instruments,a calibration device for light scattering and scanning mobility aerosol particle size spectrometers was established. Its particle size and particle number measurement ranges are 0.1-20μm and 1-20 particles/cm~3,respectively,with uncertainty of 2.4%and 3.2%(k=2).By using the developed calibration device, the calibrated results of particle size and number concentration can be traced to the electrical current.
