The Study Of The Application Of Repetitive Composition In Modern Ceramic Decorative Design

The sun rises in the east and sets in the west,the mountains and rivers are stacked,living three meals a day,people feel the natural phenomenon of "repetition" in their long-term daily life,feel the sense of rhythm,regularity,and harmony brought by this form,and apply it to artistic creation.Repetitive composition,as a form of multiplication of patterns,turns the finite into the infinite,allowing people to explore the infinite possibilities in the finite creation.Starting from the application of repetitive composition in ceramic decoration,this paper analyzes the case studies of repeated composition ceramic works at home and abroad through market research and data consultation,studies the application rules of repeated composition in ceramic decorative design,discusses how to use repeated composition to redesign traditional elements,create ceramic works that meet the aesthetic needs of modern people,and try more possibilities for the application of repeated composition in ceramic decorative design.There are six sets of works created this time,namely: "Annunciation","Listening to Spring","Forest","Reverie","Butterfly Drama","Light",the six sets of works are organized in the form of repetitive composition,which involve the practical application of absolute repetition,approximate repetition,scattered repetition and other composition methods in repetitive composition,and the practical study of the application of repetitive composition in flat,semi-three-dimensional and three-dimensional ceramic carriers.At the same time,the work uses butterfly elements throughout,and analyzes and reconstructs traditional butterfly elements to produce new forms.The works are created using ceramics as the carrier,new color on the glaze,kneading molding,underglaze multicolor,color glaze decoration and other craft techniques.This article is a summary of the creator’s source of inspiration,creative ideas and creative process for graduation,and in the process of continuous in-depth research,the creator has a further understanding of the application of constructivism in ceramic decorative design.
