| For a long period of time, the global economy has been affected by the international financial crisis, resulting in slow productivity growth and unsatisfactory economic recovery. Moreover,a kind of trade protectionism has gradually formed in some western developed countries, which has further aggravated the trade friction among countries, which has not only influenced the good development of international trade, but also greatly influenced the choice of trade policies of developing countries.Nowadays, most countries or regions along the “Belt and Road” initiative are actively adopting trade facilitation measures to better develop trade. In fact, the fundamental purpose of trade facilitation is to create a predictable, transparent and open environment that is conducive to international trade activities. It mainly includes the improvement of trade infrastructure construction, the simplification of customs clearance procedures, and trade-related The coordination of laws and regulations is premised on the standards recognized by the international community. Therefore, studying the relative impact of the trade facilitation degree of the countries along the "Belt and Road" on China’s exports of mechanical and electrical products is not only conducive to further expanding China’s exports to countries along the route, but also has a positive effect on the implementation of the "Belt and Road" initiative. After referring to the existing relevant research on trade facilitation, this article first elaborated on the current status of China’s exports of electro mechanical products to countries along the “Belt and Road”,namely the export market structure, export product structure and export scale.Secondly, the construction of four first-level indicators was started. At the same time,18 second-level indicators were set up.The principal component analysis method was used to measure the trade facilitation level between China and the 41 major trading partners along the “Belt and Road”.Countries have a certain amount of space in terms of enhancing trade facilitation, and their respective trade facilitation levels are quite different. On the whole, the more economically developed countries have higher levels of trade facilitation,as far as China is concerned, the development of trade facilitation is in the middle and upper reaches.Again, with the help of 2012-2016 trade panel data of countries along the “Belt and Road”,an extended gravitational model was used to empirically analyze the impact of trade facilitation levels and various first-level indicators on the countries along the “Belt and Road” in the export of mechanical and electrical products in China. The results show that the trade facilitation plays a very positive role in China’s export trade of mechanical and electrical products.Among them, the promotion effect of finance and e-commerce is the smallest, and trade is most affected by the port efficiency. Finally, this paper combined with the research results, put forward some specific operational recommendations. |
