GPS spoofing is an emerging technology that deceives and jams the target receiver with the spoofed low-powered GPS signals, which takes advantage of the open reception on GPS signals. The fraudster can induce the target to reach the designated deception location by changing the target’s positioning state.Nowadays, more and more civilian drones have been put into use, challenging the traffic control in low-altitude airspace and threatening the safety of people on the ground. Therefore,it is necessary to combine the GPS spoofing with the civilian drone’s GPS auto-cruise function.Through this combination, the target drone in the auto-cruise state is tricked into landing at a designated location, achieving the drone control without the damage to the drone. At present, relevant research on GPS spoofing at home and abroad is in the initial stage, and there is little verification through experiments. In order to control drones effectively,in-depth research on GPS spoofing is required. In this paper, the main work includes: 1.Based on theories about the GPS signal and the receiver,as well as the classification of spoofing, relevant simulation models have been built. After contrast, hardware requirements and detection difficulties of three spoofing methods have been summarized.2.The relative probability of acquisition and the interference tolerance margin are taken as two indicators to select the most effective source of interference.Subsequently,a path planning scheme has been founded and a primary spoofing scheme has been established. At the same time, the compensation calculation process of each parameter, during the generation of spoofed GPS signals in the intermediate spoofing scheme,is provided.3.In the intermediate spoofing scheme, the influence of spoofed GPS signals on the acquisition and tracking process has been studied, and the influence of the phase difference between the real and spoofed GPS signals on the tracking process has been further analyzed, from which the scheme on selecting the phase of spoofed GPS signals can be obtained. Then, two spoofing models are given, and, based on the synchronous interference model, the influence of different spoofed GPS code rates on the phase of local codes is studied.4.An experimental platform for primary spoofing and a semi-simulation experimental platform for intermediate spoofing have been respectively built on USRP.Several experiments are conducted on these two platforms, including the actual measurement on the unmanned vehicle with static and dynamic spoofing and the signal resolution in intermediate spoofing. With the experiment results, the effectiveness of primary spoofing and the feasibility of intermediate spoofing are discussed.
