With the development of optical fiber communication technology,smaller channel spacing and more complex signal spectral details have put forward higher requirements for the resolution of the spectrometer.The optical spectrum analyzer based on stimulated Brillouin scattering effect,which can reach a resolution of the order of 0.1pm,has attracted widespread attention.This thesis designs and implements a software system for an ultra-high resolution optical spectrum analyzer based on stimulated Brillouin scattering effect,including the following aspects:(1)The working principle and performance characteristics of several common spectrometers are analyzed.The advantages and disadvantages of designing and developing spectrometer software in Windows operating system and embedded Linux operating system are compared.The basic structure and working principle of optical spectrum analyzer based on stimulated Bril ouin scattering effect are given.(2)The overall architecture of the optical spectrum analyzer software is given,which is mainly divided into application layer,interface layer a nd control layer.The structure of the control layer is designed,which mainly includes laser control,EDFA control and digitizer control.The structure of the interface layer is designed,which mainly includes USB interface driver,COM interface driver and PCIe interface driver.The structure of the application layer is designed,which mainly includes data preprocessing and user interface.The characteristics of Lab VIEW,a development tool for optical spectrum analyzer software,are analyzed.(3)In Lab VIEW,the control layer is programmed to implement control of the laser,EDFA,and digitizer.The interface layer is programmed to implement t he USB interface driver,COM interface driver,and PCIe interface driver.The application layer is programmed to implement the data preprocessing function and the display and analysis functions of the user interface.(4)The functions of the control layer,interface layer and application layer of the optical spectrum analyzer software are tested.Test results show that the resolution of the entire software system is 0.09 pm.The control layer and interface layer realize the communication control of the laser,EDFA and digitizer.The application layer implements preprocessing of the spectral data and display and analysis of the spectral data on the user interface.
