Study On Settlement And Architecture From The Perspective Of Salt Transportation In Huaibei

For the state power of the agricultural civilization era with low productivity level,the salt tax has always been highly valued and regarded as the lifeline.The Huaibei Salt Transportation route is a commercial route which is distributed in the Huai River River basin and takes the salt industry economy as the leading factor and has a profound influence on the northern Jiangsu,northern Anhui,central Anhui and southern Henan.This line connects the culture of the areas along the line,promotes the economic development,and is an important medium of cultural communication.The steady and continuous salt production,transportation and marketing activities not only promoted the formation of salt transportation routes,such as Shanghai State,Huai’an,Hexia town,Zhengyangguan town,etc.,salt economy has had a far-reaching impact on the rise and fall of settlements along the route,the spread and exchange of architectural culture.Taking the ancient salt road in Huaibei as a clue,this paper analyzes the historical significance of salt in Huaibei,the cause of formation of ancient salt road,the basis of division and the distribution route on the basis of a great deal of ancient literature reading and ancient and modern map comparison On the basis of field investigation and surveying and Mapping of ancient buildings,the salt-producing settlements,salt-transporting settlements and salt industry buildings along the line are systematically studied.From the perspective of the Salt Movement,this paper attempts to study the salt settlements and salt architecture along the line in series,revealing the cultural exchange characteristics of the settlements and architecture under the influence of the salt economy.The first part is to sort out the distribution of salt areas and salt transportation routes in Huaibei Huaibei,so as to reveal the characteristics of salt,which is the prerequisite for the study of settlements and buildings along the salt route.The second part expounds the reasons of the formation of the early coastal settlements,the comparison between ancient and modern salt-producing settlements,and taking Chang Zhen settlement as an example,analyzes the distribution and spatial characteristics of salt-producing settlements.The third part analyzes the distribution characteristics and the spatial pattern of the salt-carrying settlements recorded in the annals of salt law,and chooses two typical cases to analyze the spatial composition and the pattern characteristics under the influence of the salt economy.In the fourth part,the salt industry architecture is divided into four types: Salt Merchant residence,Salt Marketing Architecture,salt industry official office and salt industry sacrificial offering architecture,this paper expounds the communication and evolution of architectural culture along the route.Finally,the significance of this paper is expounded from the perspective of the architectural zoning and salt industry zoning and the rise and fall of settlements and buildings along the route.
