| With development of pulse power technology,it is more obvious that traditional switching devices have the disadvantages of short life and maintaining difficulty,finding and studying new switches,which can replace typical switch but do not have disadvantages described above,has become the focus of pulse power technology research.As a semiconductor switch,reversely switched dynistor(RSD),which has many advantages such as small volume,large withstanding current,good di/dt capacity and good voltage balancing characteristic in series connection,is one of important representatives of new switches.From problems encountered in the application of RSD,characteristics of time jitter of RSD and design of RSD-based pulse circuit without magnetic switch are studied in this paper.As for characteristics of time jitter of RSD,a method is proposed to measure time jitter of RSD and the relationships between energy storage capacitor,main voltage and time jitter of RSD are studied.According to experimenal results,time jitter of RSD is from 0.57 ns to 1.57 ns.When energy storage capacitance increases,the time jitter changes irregular.With the increase of main voltage,the time jitter decreases.At last,the relationship between main voltage,main capacitance and time jitter of RSD are studied and verified theoretically.As for design of RSD-based pulse circuit without magnetic switch,a circuit scheme is proposed in which mormal trigger of RSD without cooperation of magnetic switch is guaranteed by the energy conversion between capacitor and inductor,and working process of the pulse circuit is introduced and analyzed.At last,experiments are carried on to study the work of the pulse circuit and characteristics of output pulse current.According to results from experiments,RBDT and RSD can be turned on normally,and pulse width,peak value of pulse current can be influenced by inductors and main Voltage,and the max peak value of pulse current obtained in experiments is 716 A.In summary,characteristics of time jitter of RSD and design of RSD-based pulse circuit without magnetic switch are studied,which provides some reference for the researchers who meet the above problems in the pratical application of RSD and promotes the use of RSD in China. |
