| As people’s living and consumption standards keep stable improving around the world,significant changes gradually occur in individuals’ lifestyles.With the increase and prevalence of cardiovascular disease(CVDs)risk factors,the number of people suffering from CVDs has been increasing year by year.Quantitative detection of cardiovascular disease-related indicators could not only assess the cardiovascular risk but also realize real-time monitoring of human health,thus becoming of increasing importance.Current common detection methods of disease indictors mostly rely on large-scale instruments,which are costly and difficult to operate.In comparison,colorimetric analysis methods have attracted more and more attention due to their conspicuous advantages such as simple operation and fast detection speed.Based on colorimetric analysis,herein we designed a filter chip used for multi-indicator combined detection and utilized a portable scanner and Wi-Fi transmitting technology,realizing rapid quantitative detection of uric acid,glucose and triglyceride with the assistance of a custom-designed smartphone application(App).Compared with common detection methods like spectrophotometry,the detection system and method proposed in this paper have many advantages such as simple operation,high detection accuracy and efficiency as well as low-costing.This new method can be utilized in hospitals,resource-limited areas and on-site detection,thus having a broad application outlook and great research value.The main research contents of this paper are as follows:1.Combined with hydrophobic treatment,a filter paper chip was designed and fabricated by "cut-and-paste" method.Three indicators could be detected simultaneously on this paper chip.“Standard samples and Test samples”analysis method was used so as to improve the detection accuracy.The color effects on two kind of common filter paper were compared and analyzed,and one was finally selected to make paper chip in this system.This filter paper chip is small in size,low in cost and easily-made,and it can be used for multiplex simultaneous detection in various fields;2.CIS-based portable scanner was utilized for paper chip’s imaging and transmitting after reactions.Image quality and colorimetric detection accuracy has been compared among portable scanner and other current electronic imaging devices like desktop scanner.After portable scanner finishing imaging,it could transmit pictures to smartphone wirelessly through Wi-Fi for later calculation and analysis.The detection limits of uric acid,glucose and triglycerides were 0.5029 mg/d L,0.8437 mmol/L,and 13.666 mg/d L,respectively.In addition,the actual serum samples achieved from local hospital were tested,and the detection results of these three indicators were compared with the results obtained by spectrophotometry.The comparison results showed a good consistency;3.A custom-designed smartphone application(App)named ScannerAssistant was developed through Java in Android system,which was used to analyze the pictures received from portable scanner.Based on least square method and colorimetric methods,this app could calculated the specific concentrations of these three indicators accurately based on the RGB values of Standard samples and Test samples,and finally display the results on smartphone interface.And this App could store detection records,which can be used for real-time monitoring and dynamic analysis of disease indicators. |
