Research On The Impacts Of Industrial Structure Adjustment On Energy Consumption Structure

The economy has entered a period of new normal in China,and energy consumption growth has slowed down,but the quality and efficiency of energy consumption have become increasingly prominent.The government has issued a large number of policy plans to vigorously develop new energy sources and reduce the proportion of coal.In recent years,China’s energy structure has also improved significantly.If the Chinese economy wants to achieve sustainable development and high-quality development,it will optimize irrational and inefficient energy sources.Consumption structure is an inevitable choice.The energy consumption structure is closely related to the industrial structure.On the one hand,different types of energy consumption and the industry distribution of energy consumption depend on the intensive degree and industrial structure characteristics of each industry in the overall economy.Different levels of industrial structure development determine different Energy consumption structure;on the other hand,the distribution of energy resources will also affect the regional industrial structure,and an irrational energy consumption structure will restrict the upgrading of the industrial structure.Only by changing the energy consumption of the industry,reducing the proportion of high-energy-consuming and high-pollution industries in the economy,and improving energy efficiency can we truly change the inherent energy consumption structure.This article delves into the impact and mechanism of industrial structure and energy endowment on the energy consumption structure.It has important significance for digging the policy orientation of promoting the coordinated development of industry and energy,and improving economic efficiency and achieving low-carbon energy consumption structure.This paper theoretically explores and analyzes the mechanism of industrial structure adjustment on energy consumption structure,theoretically explains and mathematically derives from four aspects,based on this,the panel data of 30 provinces in China from 2003 to 2017 were used to empirically investigate the impact and rationalization of the industrial structure rationalization and heightening on the energy consumption structure and spatial effect,and further investigated the impact of industrial structure adjustment on energy consumption structure in different regions and different energy endowments.The results found that China’s inter-provincial energy consumption structure has a significant spatial spillover effect,and the improvement of the energy consumption structure of surrounding provinces will promote the optimization of the province’s energy consumption structure.The rationalization and enhancement of industrial structure can significantly promote the optimization of energy consumption structure,but the impact of industrial structure adjustment on energy consumption structure in different regions is obviously different.Therefore,each region needs to adjust its industrial adjustment direction in a timely manner based on its own economic and industrial development level and energy consumption characteristics to improve the optimization effect of the energy consumption structure.From the analysis of the regression results of the interaction between industrial structure and energy endowment,the interaction between high industrial structure and energy endowment is positive.The industrial structure upgrade can improve the “negative lock” of the local traditional energy endowment on the energy consumption structure,and promote the optimization of the energy consumption structure.Based on empirical research,this article puts forward relevant countermeasures and suggestions based on the current situation of China’s industrial development and energy supply and demand system,such as: formulating different industrial policies to achieve clean and energy-saving industrial structure,accelerate the development of the new energy industry,strengthening the coordination and governance of energy consumption structure between regions.
