Research On The Design Of Contemporary Public Reading Space

In the process of explosive technology growth,such as printing,industrial revolution and computer network,the elements and characteristics of reading space are constantly updated,and the social orientation of reading space is also changed in many social trends of thought,such as popular culture,consumerism and so on.This paper summarizes the various strategies of contemporary reading space design by analyzing the subject,object and their integration,and explores the multiple possibilities of its future development,in order to provide methods and help for the design of public reading space in the future.Firstly,we define the characteristics and elements of contemporary public reading space,outlines the development history and existing problems of public reading space,and explains the external and internal driving factors of public reading space transformation from the aspects of social background,scientific and technological means,users and needs,renewal positioning and operation mode,then triggering the design thinking of the form and experience of contemporary characteristic public reading space.Secondly,following the hierarchical form of "Form Analysis-Experience Analysis-Re-exploration of Form and Experience Fusion",this paper makes an analysis and discussion from the following three aspects:(1)Analysis of the design of public reading space under the influence of informationization: On the premise of the study of the influence of informationization on the flow of reading space,the spatial order,spatial interface and how main nodes achieve spatial mobility through corresponding design strategies are analyzed step by step according to the spatial hierarchy.(2)Analysis of public reading space experience under the change of humanistic value: Based on the value orientation of "people-oriented" in contemporary era,this paper discusses the methods of reading space experience,and explores the experience design from three aspects: perception dimension,behavior psychology and plot experience.(3)The old is the new--the re-exploration of the reading space form and experience: with the traditional Chinese reading space and its modern interpretation as the entry point,the "form" and "experience" of the reading space are further discussed.
