Research On Village Logo Design Based On Dongyang Architectural Culture Under Rural Revitalization Strategy

Since the 21 st century,the development and construction of rural areas have always been the Party’s and the country’s most concerned issues,from the issue of the Agriculture,Rural Areas and Farmers at the beginning of this century,to The construction of new socialist countryside and then to Beautiful rural construction.Now the 19 th National Congress of the People’s Republic of China has put forward the Rural Revitalization Strategy.Rural construction in the new period bears special historical connotations.The government of Dongyang City actively responded to the Party’s call to make the reconstruction of beautiful villages an important construction project in the13 th Five-Year Plan phase.Starting from 2018,Dongyang City firstly organized the Renovate dilapidated buildings and demolish illegal buildings operation,large-scale demolition of old and dilapidated houses,protection of historical and cultural buildings,and with this action as a cut-in point,a series of villages renovations such as Creating Ten Beautiful Villages has been actualized.Through the transformation and upgrading of rural buildings,landscapes,and sketches,Dongyang City aims to create a characteristic rural culture of one village,one product,one district,one feature.In a series of rural constructions,the construction of the village symbol has become a new trend in rural construction,especially in the Creating Ten Beautiful Villages activity,different village symbols of various villages have sprung up on the ground in Dongyang,which is a beautiful scenery line under the village revitalization strategy and it is a display platform carrying civilization and culture.However,the designs of these village symbols are of the same size,single form,and lack of characteristics.As a building,they failed to show the profound architectural culture of Dongyang and the traditional building skills culture embodied in Dongyang’s traditional ancient buildings.Dongyang is known as the "hometown of architecture" and has a unique and profound architectural culture.These cultures are precious assets passed on to us by our ancestors.We should inherit and carry forward Dongyang architectural culture.The village symbols construction is the new soil that Dongyang architectural culture is rooted in.We should use this opportunity to build and develop the Dongyang architectural culture.On the one hand,through the research on Dongyang architectural culture,this study excavates and extracts Dongyang architectural cultural elements,on the other hand,it conducts field investigation and research on the experience and methods of traditional village symbols design on the existing village symbol.Then by organically combining Dongyang architectural culture and village symbols design,it discusses the village symbols design system based on Dongyang architectural culture,and use this as a theoretical basis to design and practice the village symbols of Xiangtan Village and Houli Village in Liushi Street in Dongyang City.
