Shaving processing is a kind of finishing technology widely used in gear industry.It has the advantages of high production efficiency and adaptability.It can not only repair the tooth orientation and profile errors of workpiece gears,but also improve the tooth surface accuracy of workpiece gears to 5-6 grades.However,there are concave tooth profile errors near the pitch circle of shaved workpiece gears,which seriously restrict the application of shaving in high precision fields such as aviation and aerospace.To study the influence of installation error on shaving process is an important part of revealing the mechanism of shaving tooth profile concave error.This paper mainly studies the influence of shaving alignment error on transmission characteristics.According to the gear meshing principle,the shaving alignment error is introduced into the original geometric coordinate system,the shaving analysis model with the shaving alignment error is established,and the workpiece gear rotation angle compensation displacement caused by the shaving alignment error is deduced.On this basis,the expression of shaving transmission error and transmission ratio with alignment error is deduced,which can be used as an effective criterion to measure the transmission performance of shaving processing.Based on the principle of single variable,the influence of shaving alignment error(axis intersection error and center distance error)on the transmission characteristics(transmission error and transmission ratio)of shaving tooth profile was studied quantitatively.The results show that at the tooth profile,the influence of axle angle error on driving characteristics of shaving processing is higher than that of center distance error;with the increase of alignment error,transmission error and transmission ratio become more sensitive.Finite element method is applied to analyze the influence of shaving transmission characteristics under different axle intersection angle errors and center distance errors.The analysis shows that with the increase of the absolute value of the axle intersection error and the center distance error,the larger the deviation of the transmission error curve from the theoretical value,the larger the contact deformation;the influence of the axle intersection error on the transmission characteristics is stronger and the center distance error is greater.The shaving experiment shows that the total deviation and shape deviation of tooth profile increase with the increase of axle intersection error,and the positive increase of axle intersection error has a slightly greater effect on the total deviation and shape deviation of tooth profile than the negative increase.The shaving alignment error compensation displacement verification shows that the shaving alignment error compensation displacement can reasonably control the impact of the alignment error,effectively improve the shaving processing transmission performance and improve the accuracy of the workpiece gear tooth surface;the experiment verifies the validity of the shaving alignment error compensation displacement model.
