Reconstruction Of Rural Public Space

With the development of economy and the acceleration of urbanization,some traditional vernacular buildings are no longer suitable for the production and life style of modern villagers,which are abandoned or even demolished.In the vast rural areas,the phenomenon of traditional rural buildings being abandoned is more common,including not only residential buildings,but also public buildings and production space.The village of ache in Guanzhong area of Shaanxi Province is faced with such a problem.The typical traditional raw earth building in the village,the Baya kiln,has been abandoned.At the same time,due to the change of production mode and pillar industries,the community public space in many traditional villages is facing degradation and disappearance.Under the decision-making of our country’s Rural Revitalization Strategy,the perfect rural public space can increase the villagers’ cohesion,meet the villagers’ basic living and production needs,and promote the sustainable development of the countryside.Therefore,whether responding to the national policy or activating the internal power of rural revitalization,we need to reshape the rural public space and give full play to the multiple values of rural public space in rural development.This paper discusses the reconstruction of the rural public space,taking the rural waste space as the starting point,through the transformation and reuse to make up for the lack and deficiency of the rural public space.This paper not only discusses how to use the waste space to remodel the rural public space,but also puts forward relevant measures and principles to be followed for such strategies and transformation methods.It is hoped to take AQI village in Guanzhong area of Shaanxi Province as an example,explore the current situation of the rural public space through field research,explore the value of the reuse of the waste space in the regionalization of local buildings,and give similar villages The project of Village revitalization and reconstruction makes beneficial exploration and provides practical examples.
