| Because of the increase in urban populations,rising living standards,rapid industrial development,increasing instances of water pollution,and other factors,cross-basin and long distance water transfer projects have become an inevitable trend in urban sustainable development.Presently,water hammers constitute the key problem affecting the safe operation of long-distance water transfer projects.Therefore,correctly analyzing hydraulic transition processes of water conveyance systems and selecting reasonable water hammer protection procedures are crucial for designing pump station piping systems and guaranteeing the safe operation of pump station water conveyance systems.This paper presents an analysis of the main problems in engineering applications of traditional air vessel.According to water hammer protection measure of new air vessel,it presents a mathematical model of water pump outlet new air vessel based on a method of characteristics.In addition,numerical simulation of the water hammer protection effect was conducted for both new and traditional air vessel.The results are compared and analyzed.The influence of the eight parameters of the water pump outlet new air vessel on the water hammer protection effect is studied and the parameters are optimized.The main content of this paper is outlined in the following:(1)On the basis of summarizing the previous research,the basic theory and calculation method of water hammer are simply expounded,engineering.Combined with a practical project,,the water hammer calculation model of the long-distance pump water supply system is established.(2)According to water hammer protection measure of new air vessel,established a mathematical model of water pump outlet new air vessel based on a method of characteristics;(3)In combination with a practical project,to calculate stop pump water hammer process about long distance water pump system including accident conditions of eight different working conditions,study the determination of reasonable method of two-stage closing butterfly valve.(4)MATLAB software was used to compile the program for stopping the pump water hammer of a water supply project in an industrial park in Yulin.The water hammer protection effect of new and traditional air vessel were compared and analyzed.It is concluded that the water hammer protection effect of pump outlet new air vessel is superior to traditional ones.At the same time,the influence of eight parameters of the water pump outlet new air vessel on the water hammer protection effect was studied,and the parameters were optimized. |
