With the development of national economy.the demand for electricity is increasing constantly.In order to improve the transmission capacity of transmission wires,a variety of additional capacity wires have appeared.Stranded carbon fiber composite core wires are the most promising ones.In addition,the sag of transmission wires should be taken into account in the design and operation of transmission wires.Excessive or too small sag will affect the safe operation of transmission lines.Therefore,the sag characteristics of stranded carbon fiber composite core wires are studied in this paper.Since previous studies mainly focused on the influence of external factors,such as icing,wind load and other external factors on wire sag,this paper focuses on the influence of wire expansion coefficient on wire sag.This paper choose the twisted type carbon fiber composite core wires as the research object,on the tension sag characteristic test,get the conductor temperature-sag curve,and test on the basis of conductor is finite element analysis model is established,and numerical simulation analysis.analysis of conductor comprehensive expansion coefficient with the change of operating temperature rise,the temperature of the conductor-expansion coefficient curve.Analogy get stranded wire sag calculation equation of the traditional type of carbon fiber composite conductor sag calculation equations,mainly introduced the migration point temperature and stress calculation formula,get the migration point temperature above wire sag calculation formula,considering the lead expansion coefficient with temperature changing,the expansion coefficient curve,introduced in the algorithm,considering the wire sag calculation of expansion coefficient equation is obtained,through a comparison of the calculated results and experimental results verify the validity of the calculation equation.The finite element simulation model of the wire under different working conditions was established,and the curves of the wire’s temperature-expansion coefficient were combined to study the sag curve of the wire under different loads,such as icing,wind load,high altitude difference and high pitch distance.Through the research on the sag performance of stranded carbon fiber composite core conductors,the temperature-expansion coefficient curve and the sag calculation equation considering the expansion coefficient of conductors are obtained.
