With the advent of the 5G era,C-V2X has attracted attention from many telecom companies and auto companies in the world.Many countries have begun to allocate official frequency for C-V2X technology.However,among the many researches on the C-V2X,the research on the handover of the V2X has not received enough attention.The traditional handover is no longer sufficient to meet the low latency and high reliability requirements of the future V2X applications for wireless communication networks.A handover algorithm based on Sidelink of heterogeneous C-V2X networks is proposed to solve the problem of handover delay during the C-V2X handover procedure.And a system-level simulation platform is also produced.The main contributions of this thesis include the following two parts:(1)In order to solve the existing V2X handover algorithms cannot meet the low latency requirements of the advanced V2X applications.This thesis proposes a V2X handover algorithm based on the sidelink communication to prevent the disconnection in the handover procedure.Two-Sided Match algorithm is used to solve the matching problem of vehicles during the handover procedure.Then the matching vehicle is recognized as a sidelink relay node to transmit information to ensure the connectivity of the vehicle during the handover process.This method can solve the disconnection state(about 100ms)during the handover process,reduce delay to 10ms,and effectively ensure the operation of the V2X applications.(2)This thesis designs and implements a C-V2X based system level simulation platform.The OMNeT++platform and open source framework SimuLTE are used to implements the core modules to realize the sidelink communication and verify handover perfermrnce of the proposed algorithm.At the same time,the transport simulation platform SUMO is used to provide more realistic and interactive traffic data for the network simulation platform.This platform is used to assess the performance of this C-V2X handover algorithm.Result shows that data rate is up to 10Mbps during the handover procedure,reducing the handover latency to 10ms and maintaining the connection between the base station and vehicle怂The algorithm designed in this thesis will promote the research on the V2V handover algorithm.The simulation platform built can enable the V2X research to focus on the design of the algorithm and has a positive significance for the V2X communication research.
