Research On Adaptive Renewal Design Of Traditional Dwellings In Doumen Old Street,Shaoxing

In the whole country,there are many non-historical and cultural protection blocks with a long history.They are gradually declining due to the lack of corresponding protection mechanisms and development plans.The traditional style is gradually eroded by the spontaneous reconstruction of residents and the collapse of old houses.In such an embarrassing situation,traditional residential buildings urgently need to be designed to find a way out that can not only improve the living environment,but also inherit the traditional style.This paper selects traditional residential buildings in Doumen old street,Yuecheng District,Shaoxing City as the research object,and analyzes many problems that are not compatible with modern residential needs through field investigations,combined with typical cases of related renewal project practices,and systematically elaborates the adaptive renewal design methods of traditional dwellings in Doumen old street.There are five chapters in the paper.The first chapter describes the research background,purpose,significance,status,research methods,content and framework,laying the foundation for writing thesis;The second chapter conducts field investigations on in Doumen old street,including the geographical location,historical evolution history and the space characteristics of the old districts where are located,as well as the property rights,layout,structure and materials,detailed decoration and use status of.And this part explores the existent problem of traditional residential buildings from the four perspectives of structural safety,space utilization,space comfort and traditional style;The third chapter outlines the development of adaptive theory and its different levels of application and connotations in the field of architecture,and selects typical practice cases of adaptability of traditional to accumulate relevant experience;The fourth chapter,in response to the problems found in the survey,combined with the ecological,historical,and cultural environment of the building,clarifies that the adaptive renewal must follow the principle of adaptability,flexibility and comfort and then elaborates the adaptive renewal design method of traditional dwellings in the old street from the four aspects of safety performance improvement,space layout optimization,space comfort improvement,and continuation of traditional style;The fifth chapter,through the selection of the Shen’s house cases,launches the design of specific renewal schemes,and reflects on the operability and effectiveness of the design method in practical application,as well as the contradictions with the owner’s requirements,providing a reference for renewing other residential buildings in Doumen old street,or even residential buildings with similar conditions in other areas.
