For atrium buildings,the existence of the atrium can greatly improve the lighting conditions and enhance the overall beauty of the building,so it is often used in architectural design.However,in actual projects,the heat transfer process in the building atrium is very complicated,and it is difficult to accurately describe the temperature and load distribution of the building atrium.Therefore,when the atrium building is designed for air conditioning,the problem of eliminating the load in the atrium and its connected areas will give warmth.The designers have brought certain difficulties,leading to problems such as poor comfort and energy waste caused by unreasonable air-conditioning design in the atrium buildings.In-depth study of the load characteristics of the atrium building and the air conditioning design scheme is one of the topics that HVAC designers need to solve.This paper takes a 4-story medical building in Jinan City,Shandong Province as the research object.According to the heat transfer and airflow characteristics of the atrium building,a physical and mathematical model of the heat transfer and airflow organization of the atrium building is established.Use energy consumption simulation software De ST software and Designbuilder software to calculate the hourly load of the building’s atrium and its connected areas throughout the year,analyze the characteristics of the air conditioning load on each floor,and provide simulation parameters for the CFD calculation of the atrium’s thermal environment.The two load simulation software obtained the load value of the space corresponding to different floor heights in the atrium and the area connected to the atrium,and compared and analyzed the load difference of the space at the same location in the building with and without the atrium.In-depth analysis of the influence of the presence of the atrium on the load value of the surrounding area.The data obtained by the two load simulation software showed similar changes and verified the accuracy of the load simulation.In order to understand the impact of the atrium building on the thermal comfort of the human body,a model of the atrium and its connected areas was established in the CFD software,and two load simulation software were used to obtain the load ratio of the space corresponding to different floor heights in the atrium.The winter temperature distribution in the atrium and the corridor area connected to it is simulated.The simulation results show that when the internal temperature of the building increases,the influence of the air buoyancy in the atrium is more serious,causing the hot air to rise to the top of the building,resulting in poor thermal comfort of the human body in the working area.With reference to the load simulation data and CFD simulation results,this paper analyzes and compares the amount of heat supplied by each floor in the atrium and the heat distribution ratio of each floor,and optimizes that the heat supply of each floor of the building atrium accounts for the total heat supply.The specific gravity of the air-conditioning system and the CFD simulation were performed again,and a better air-conditioning effect was obtained.
