| Implant dentures are widely used to solve the problem of one or more missing natural teeth.Due to cyclic masticatory loads,dental implants may fail because of screw loosening or fatigue.At present,the fatigue experiments of dental implants are mostly carried out on direct stress fatigue testing machines,but these machines are complex in technology,high in cost and long in duration.Therefore,the main purpose of this paper is to design a simple mechanical fatigue test bench,such as cam and spring,on the premise of meeting the ISO 14801 standard for dental implant fatigue test.An efficient fatigue test bench was developed to test the fatigue behaviour of dental implants for 8 specimens at the same time.For the above purposes,the main work carried out is as follows:1)Analyse the main components and the working process of the test bench in order to meet the ISO 14801 standard.2)Make the important parts of the test bench,such as the design and calculation of the sinusoidal profile of the cam,the analysis,design and calculation of springs,finally the design of the loading block.3)Design appropriate specimens(dental implant replacements)for fatigue test,use almost the same specimens to do 3 group of experiments,which are based on the test bench in our paper and the other two commercial fatigue testing machines(MTS-858,INSTRON 8801).Finally obtain the experimental results.4)Verify the feasibility of the test bench in our paper.Calculate the data obtained form 3 different fatigue test benches to get the linear model of S-N cure,and compare the S-N curve obtained from the test bench designed in this paper with the results obtained from the other two commercial fatigue testing machines.The experimental results show that the fatigue test results of the test bench designed in this paper are very close to those of the two commercial fatigue testing machines,and the test bench is feasible. |
