With the theory and planning of life circle coming into the perspective of human geography and urban and rural planning, life circle has been widely used as an important basis for the layout of public service facilities and resource allocation. The changes in residents’ daily life, such as residence, employment, consumption and leisure, reveal the interaction between human living activities and regional space.Under the rapid impact of industrialization, urbanization and marketization,China’s rural living space is undergoing restructuring and transformation. With the drastic change and continuous transformation of living space, the interaction between human activities and geographical environment becomes more and more typical. However,at present, the research on the life circle focuses on the interaction between the daily life of urban residents and urban space, and there is little research on the spatial behavior of rural residents and the theoretical research on the life circle of rural residents. This study is conducive to broaden the perspective and theory of rural geography research, enrich the content and method of life circle research, and more truly depict the interactive relationship between rural living space and residents’ activities. As a traditional agricultural region in central China,Jianghan Plain has a long history of agricultural production and typical development of living space.Jingshan City has a high proportion of rural population and prominent agricultural status, which makes it a typical region of Jianghan Plain and has research significance. This paper takes Jingshan City of Jianghan Plain as the case study, takes time geography as the research perspective, takes sampling questionnaire and field interview data as the data source, analyzes the temporal and spatial change characteristics of daily activities such as residence, employment, consumption and leisure of rural residents in ten years, identifies the circle structure of travel frequency and travel range in rural areas, and reveals the temporal and spatial evolution rules of residents’ daily behaviors. At the same time, combining external factors and endogenous factors,a multiple linear regression model was constructed to analyze the main influencing factors and their mechanisms of the evolution of rural daily life circle. Finally, rural residents’satisfaction with natural ecology foundation, physical facility condition and social and cultural environment was taken as the basis of human-environment matching degree,to reveal the interactive relationship between daily activities of rural residents and environmental changes and the human settlement effect of the evolution of daily living circle in the case area. The case study shows that:(1)From the perspective of the evolution characteristics of daily life circle in rural areas:in terms of time, residents’ daily travel frequency has increased.Except for the duration of leisure activities, the travel time and duration of all other activities have a decreasing trend. In addition, residents’ various activities and trips show peaks and valleys roughly, and the pace of life alternates fast and slow.In terms of space, the daily travel activities of residents are concentrated in the village, which tends to shrink to the village, and the travel space of residents of different types of villages is obviously different.Benefiting from the geographical advantages and convenient transportation, the activities of residents in the central village are relatively farther away, while the daily activities of residents in the near-central village and the far-central village are more concentrated in the village.(2)From the rural daily life circle type identification:according to the residents’travel frequency can be divided into outer low-frequency activity circle, middle intermediate frequency active circle and the inner layer high frequency active circle these three grades.Among them, the low-frequency activity circle is mainly medical travel, the medium-frequency activity circle is mainly daily life purchase and work travel, and the high-frequency activity circle almost covers all daily activities such as living, leisure, work, consumption and so on.According to the travel range of residents,it can be divided into three levels:primary living circle, basic living circle and extended living circle.Primary life circle for the residents home to the village,is to meet residents’ daily life and production activities, the basic spheres of life circle basic cover all the residential areas, the capacity to meet the higher levels of consumption and work activities, extend the life circle is county(city),the furthest away from residential areas, main is to meet residents’ accidental events demand.(3)From the perspective of the influence factors of daily life evolution:the role of external factors and internal factors in rural residents’ daily travel changes.Leisure and recreational facilities, commercial facilities, ecological environment, household disposable income, location of current house and community participation were significantly correlated.Among them, the location of the current house is significantly negatively correlated with the dependent variable, while the other items are significantly positively correlated.Among them, perfect leisure and entertainment facilities, commercial facilities and good rural landscape and ecological base effectively increase the frequency of residents’ travel, high household disposable income and good community participation effectively reduce residents’ travel obstacles, and the occupation differences of residents behind the location of current housing have a negative effect on travel frequency.(4)From the perspective of the human settlement effect of rural daily life circle:rural residents tend to be relatively satisfied with the comprehensive evaluation of rural life satisfaction, among which the satisfaction of physical facilities is the highest, social and cultural environment is the second, and the natural ecological basis is the lowest. In addition, the influencing factors of residents’ travel and residents’ satisfaction with various indicators of living space reveal the matching degree between people and the environment.Among them, rural residents are better matched with social and cultural environment, which is mainly reflected in the residents’ high degree of satisfaction with social and cultural environment. Is generally matched with the physical facilities environment, mainly reflected in the residents’ high satisfaction with public services and infrastructure, especially medical facilities, commercial facilities and information and communication facilities; It is not matched with the natural ecological environment, mainly reflected in the residents’ low satisfaction with the rural ecological environment and agricultural ecological environment, especially the prevention of natural disasters, the treatment of river and lake pollution, and the treatment of production and sewage.
