For a long time,the belt conveyor has been an essential and important equipment in bulk material transportation.The reason is that the belt conveyor and its transfer system can complete the continuous transportation of long distance and large volume.Compared with other types of conveyor and transport equipment,it has higher transport efficiency.As a kind of special belt conveyor,air cushion belt conveyor adopts gas with certain pressure to replace the idler in ordinary belt conveyor when supporting the belt and materials.Based on this particularity,air cushion belt conveyor has not only continuous conveying capacity,but also simpler structure,less resistance,noise and energy consumption.With its excellent performance,air cushion belt conveyor has been widely used in coal,metallurgy,grain,port and other industries,and with the increasing production capacity of related industries,the demand for air cushion belt conveyor is also growing,and the demand for its performance is increasing.However,in the process of practical use,it is found that although the air cushion belt conveyor is not easy to occur deviation fault under its excellent neutral effect,its ability to resist deviation is weak if it encounters external interference in the process of transportation.In view of this problem,it is necessary to study the air cushion as tiie main support of the conveyor.At the same time,the arrangement of air holes is one of the main differences of air cushion belt conveyor existing products,and the arrangement of air holes plays an important role in the formation of air cushion.Therefore,considering the two factors,the paper begins with analyzing the influence of the arrangement of air holes on the flow field of tile air cushion.Firstly,the geometric boundary of air cushion flow field is determined by calcvilating the thickness distribution of air cushion.Then,the main parameters of air cushion flow field are calculated and analyzed by the method of fluid and two-way fluid structure interaction numerical simulation,and the influence rules of air cushion flow field are summarized.Finally,the relationship between the deviation resistance and the deviation amount of belt is deduced,and the deviation resistance under different air hole arrangement is calculated.And the influence of the air hole arrangement on the deviation resistance of air cushion belt conveyor is analyzed.According to the study:1)For the calculation of the thickness of air cushion,the current main method is based on th e flow flux.Using this method,the results will appear abrupt and discontinuous phenomenon at t he axis of the air hole.In order to solve this problem,the mathematical method is used to supple ment the flow calculation at the corresponding position,and the discontinuity in the origina l method is corrected2)By analyzing the influence of the air hole arrangement on the flow field of the air cushion,it is considered that the air hole pressure,air cushion turbulence intensity and gas consumpti on can be effectively reduced by increasing the total number of rows,increasing the diameter a nd reducing the hole spacing.The static pressure distribution of air cushion flow field is mainly a ffected by the load,and the horizontal transition of static pressure is smoother with the increase of the total number of rows.3)The air cushion flow field is analyzed by the method of two-way fluid structure interaction numerical simulation.The results show that the air cushion flow field parameters are not signi ficantly affected by the belt speed and the material accumulation angle on the conveyor belt under the same air hole arrangement and load conditions.4)After analyzing the influence of the air hole arrangement on the deviation resistance of the conveyor belt,it is considered that the air cushion flow field under multiple rows of air hole evenly arrange d can form the lateral force of air cushion linearly increasing with the deviation,which can hin der the lateral movement of the conveyor belt.Under the same condition,while the total numbe r of rows increasing or the diameter decreasing,the lateral force of air cushion will increase.In addition,the anti-deviation ability of the air cushion belt conveyor under air hole intensively a rranged is relatively weak,and in the process of the belt deviation,the air cushion support forc e will be significantly reduced and unable to meet the support requirements.
