Study On Network Layout Problems For Public Bicycle Considering Bicycle Exclusive Lanes | | Posted on:2020-03-14 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:X Y Wang | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2492306452471094 | Subject:Management Science and Engineering | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | Along with the development of the urbanization and motorization,traffic congestion and environmental pollution problems become worse than ever before.As a new transportation mode,public bicycles have the advantages of free of air pollution,environmental protection and is easy to access by other public transportation modes,and effectively solve the ‘last mile problem’in public transportation.To promote the bicycle travel,this work studies the network layout problems,which focus on the network layout problems of public bicycle system.The main content of this work includes the following two parts:(1)From the perspective of facilitating the transfer between bus and bicycle,this work studies the problem of location of bicycle stations and setting of bicycle exclusive lanes around the bus stations.An integer programming model aiming at maximizing the bicycle travel demand is firstly proposed and is compared with the traditional bicycle location model.The computational results by LINGO show that the proposed model is more effective and efficient than the traditional one.To solve practical sized instances,a Tabu search algorithm based on the property of the model is designed.The results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm can efficiently and stably solve the network layout problem for public bicycle.The results of this research can provide scientific and reasonable suggestion for planners’ decisionmaking.(2)In order to encourage the bicycle travel,this work studies the planning of bicycle network,which is composed of exclusive lanes.To well balance the road resource for automobile and bicycles from the view of the entire transportation network,a bi-level programming model is proposed for the research.The upper model is to optimize the layout of the bicycle network and the lower model is to calculate the automobile’s flow distribution in the network.To solve the bi-level model,this work proposes a genetic algorithm based on the characteristics of bicycle road network to solve the upper model and applies the Frank-Wolf algorithm based on a new road impedance function to solve the lower model,respectively.The effectiveness of the proposed model and algorithms are verified by a large amount of simulation experiment.In summary,this work applies the theory of mathematical programming,optimization algorithms,and transportation planning to study the network layout problem for public bicycle system,so as to meet the increasing travel demand of bicycle by optimally deciding the location of bike stations and the setting of bicycle lanes between stations and to facilitate the bicycle travel by optimally planning the transportation network of bicycle.This result of this work aims to encourage the shift of traveling from private cars to public bicycles,and has important practical meaning for easing traffic congestion and environmental pollution. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Public bicycle, Bicycle exclusive lane, Network layout, Programming model, Tabu search, Genetic algorithm, Frank-Wolf algorithm | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
