| Composite steel plate shear wall(C-SPW)consisting of steel plate with reinforced concrete encasement on one or both sides of the steel plate using headed studs is an effective lateral load resisting system.To date,a number of researches have been reported on C-SPW,but few researches pay attention to the C-SPW with hole.In the actual engineering,for the sake of architect need,it is unavoidable to open hole in the shear wall.In order to study the performance of the C-SPW contained opening,and provide a reference for the designer,the shear capacity of the C-SPW with a square opening is studied using finite element analysis in this paper.Using ABAQUS,the responses of structural elements in 62 specimens of C-SPW under monotonic lateral load are investigated.The effects of the position and size of the opening,and the stiffener at the opening on the C-SPW are analyzed.Finally,based on the analysis results,the calculating formulas of the shear capacity of the C-SPW with and without square opening are proposed respectively. |
