In recent years, the application of intelligent transportation system has gradually made the transportation industry safer, more efficient and environmentally friendly, and has also made the vehicle wireless communication technology have a wider research prospect.VANET is a mobile self-organizing network in the actual traffic environment. In VANET,nodes establish networks and implement routing and delivery of data packets through cooperation.Aiming at the shortcomings of the existing VANET routing protocol, this paper proposed a routing protocol PSLB(Path Stability and Load Balancing Multipath Routing Protocol). This protocol establishes three loop-free paths in the route discovery process and uses path stability parameters and load level parameters to jointly measure the total transmission cost.In the routing selections process, the path with the lowest total transmission cost is selected as the path with the highest priority for data transmission. The other two are used as backup paths. When the main path is broken, the one with higher priority in the remaining paths will continue to transmit data as the main route. In this paper, the proposed routing algorithm is implemented on NS2 and compared with existing multi-path routing protocols. In the experiment, traffic simulator Vanet Mobi Sim and network simulator NS2 were used for joint simulation. The results show that PSLB protocol is better than AOMDV protocol in packet delivery rate,end-to-end average delay and normalized routing overhead in VANET environment.
