Coal is one of the main energy sources in China and occupies a very important position in the economic and social development.The paper takes large coal bunker as the research object,discusses the foundation soil characteristics of large coal bunker through various testing methods combined with theoretical analysis,analyzes the foundation deformation and steel stress monitoring results,and aims to select the most economical and reasonable foundation solution to save investment and maximize the environmental and social benefits at the same time.The main research results are as follows.(1)The height of the coal bunker is 73.5m,the subgrade pressure is 630 k Pa,the subgrade stratum is sand layer,and the original design scheme is pile foundation.Through the standard penetration of foundation soil,static touch,plate load and other test results,the distribution of foundation soil layers and foundation scheme,comprehensive analysis and demonstration,the natural foundation scheme was proposed and implemented by foundation bearing capacity calculation and scheme optimization.Compared with the pile foundation,the natural foundation solution saves 33.9 million yuan,shortens the construction period,and achieves good economic,environmental and social benefits;the coal silo has been put into operation for 6 years,and the results of tracking and monitoring show that the indicators of total settlement and tilt meet the requirements and are in good use.(2)According to the monitoring of horizontal displacement of foundation soil,it is found that the foundation soil has obvious horizontal displacement after construction and completion.Under the condition of upper symmetrical load,the consolidation of sand is not unidirectional,but multi-dimensional;the generation of horizontal displacement is inevitably accompanied by the reduction of base pressure,which is conducive to the control of vertical deformation.(3)According to the analysis of horizontal displacement monitoring results of foundation soil,the soil of No.1 warehouse moves northward,and No.3 warehouse moves to the south.The maximum horizontal displacement appears near the bottom of the foundation,and the maximum displacement reaches 95 mm,which is far greater than the total verticalsettlement(36.35mm)after the bunker is full.(4)The results of reinforcement stress monitoring show that the foundation bottom plate reinforcement of bin No.2 is mainly compressed;the foundation bottom plate reinforcement of bin No.3 is mainly tensile,and the calculated maximum tensile stress meets the requirements of tensile strength of reinforcement.
