Torque converter is a kind of transmission device that utilizes the high-speed circulation flow of working fluid in its wheel chamber to realize the energy transfer.It is of great significance to study the flow regularity and flow characteristics of the inner flow field and to provide a theoretical basis of improving the performance of the torque converter.In this paper,a method for testing the fluid pressure field on stator surface of a hydrodynamic torque converter is studied.A test method of the fluid pressure field on the surface of the stator vane with complex closed flow field in a rotating fluid machine is proposed.Pressure measurement test to obtain different input rotary speed and speed ratio of the surface characteristics of stator blade pressure distribution information to develop hydraulic components of the pressure test system calibration and testing process.It provides accurate and reliable loading conditions for the cascade three-dimensional flow design of the hydrodynamic torque converter cascade system,axial load forecasting and fluid-structure interaction analysis of torque converter.In this paper,a flow model of a hydrodynamic torque converter was established.Computational fluid dynamics(CFD)technique was used to analyze the pressure field and velocity field in the working chamber.The flow characteristics of the working fluid were obtained.The pressure field distribution information of the fluid on the surface of stator was extracted.The change rule of the internal pressure was obtained under different conditions,thus the feature points of blade surface and the corresponding pressure test point position were reasonably determined.A kind of hydrodynamic torque converter is proposed to test the fluid pressure field on the surface of stator.Pressure measurement of fluid on the surface of blade under different conditions of input rotary speed and speed ratio is carried out.The pressure signals from the time domain were converted to the frequency domain using the FFT method.The pressure waveforms and spectral characteristics of the flow field under different operating conditions were compared and analyzed.The relationship between the fluid pressure on the surface of stator and the performance of torque converter was explored.In the existence of the blade-row interaction of the components of the torque converter,the interaction effect has certain inhibitory effect on the secondary flow phenomenon at the inlet and outlet of the components under design conditions,which is beneficial to improve the efficiency of the torque converter.The simulation and test data of pressure field were compared and analyzed.The results show that there is a good consistency between the two trends.The distribution of pressure on the blade surface is in good agreement with the changing regularity.According to the analysis results of the pressure field test,the flow field simulation model was modified to improve the calculation accuracy of the pressure field simulation model.
