The wheelchair was the preferred choice tool for the inconveniences of the lower extremities,which has played an irreplaceable role in improving the life of this special group.The electric wheelchair,which is limited to the complexity of the spatial arrangement and control of the mechanism,can simultaneously solve the problem of toilet and travel indoor and outdoor.Therefore,in view of the needs of inconvenient people,the optional multi control toilet electric wheelchair had been put forward to meet users’ needs in different scenarios and activities.First of all,based on the background of the excessive handicapped people in the aging society,the basic performance requirements and the characteristics of the toilet electric wheelchair were determined based on the characteristics of the handicapped people of the lower extremities.After that,the design of wheelchairs was conceived according to the design goal.The advantages and disadvantages of each plan were analyzed and compared.The preferred plan of wheelchair had been determined.Meanwhile,the toilet function of the wheelchair core had been planned in detail.In the next place,the seat adjustment device involves the planar 2-DOF parallel mechanism with coupling branched chain.The degree of freedom of the mechanism was verified.In order to make the structure of the toilet electric wheelchair more reasonable,the evaluation function of the mechanism size was based on the use requirement.The mechanism size optimization was realized,and the kinematics performance of the mechanism based on the optimized size was analyzed.What’s more,the static analysis of the planar 2-DOF parallel mechanism with coupling branched chain was carried out.Based on the statics analysis,the component selection of the wheelchair was implemented.Based on the actual needs and related standards,the safety,comfort and beauty were taken into consideration.The 3-D structural design of the wheelchair was carried out,and the ANSYS was used for the finite element of the key components.The optimized design of wheelchair was realized,and the rationality and safety of wheelchair structure was guaranteed.In the end,the requirements of user travel,toilet and standing were targeted.Based on Solidworks Motion,the theoretical trajectory planning of the seat tilt angle and attitude adjustment was carried out.The correctness of the theoretical analysis results of the freedom and kinematics was verified.The drive mode planning trajectory was fitted.The passive link motion performance under single drive mode was compared with the theoretical planning trajectory,and the rationality of the single drive mode was verified.Then,based on the related experiments of the built electric toilet wheelchair system,the feasibility of the planning was verified.
