With the acceleration of the urbanization process, the original transportation is no longer sufficient to meet the growing travel needs of residents, such as buses, cars, etc.Rail transit features numerous advantages, like high speed, large passenger capacity,as well as energyefficiency, and it gradually replaces the original transportation.Especially the subway has now become the main public transport. The payment area is a confined space in the hall floor of the subway station and it is also the primary meeting place for passengers to enter and exit the station.Due to the combined influence of space restrictions and passenger pressure, the area is prone to trampling accidents and other casualties, which has a huge impact on the safety and property of passengers. Therefore,it is very important to clarify the mechanism of selecting facilities for inbound passengers in the payment area and formulate a reasonable optimization plan for passengers to enter the station. This article takes the inbound passenger flow in the payment area as the research object, the facility selection mechanism is analyzed, and a reasonable and effective optimization plan for passengers to enter the station is formulated, the specific content is as follows:(1)Based on questionnaire surveys and video collection, the behavior characteristics of inbound passenger flow on the selection of facilities in the payment area are analyzed in depth, including pace speed, pace frequency and stride length of inbound passengers on the stairs with physiological differences(gender and age).In addition, the average density of passenger flow and queuing time of escalators and buffers at different times are also studied in depth.(2)The influencing factors of inbound passenger flow behavior characteristics are divided into internal and external factors. And using decision tree model and CART algorithm to filter out the impact factors is weight-bearing,companion effect, age, and time spent.Based on the nested Logit model, the functional relationship between inbound passenger flow selection behavior and impact factors is determined. The parameters are calibrated and validated. The results show that time spent,weight-bearing,companion effect and age will influence inbound passengers’ choice of facilities.(3)Using the Any Logic simulation platform to study the characteristic variables(impact factors)of nested Logit model. The functional relationship between the time spent and the traffic flow under different optimization schemes is analyzed. It provides data and theoretical support for the case analysis in Chapter 6.(4)Taking a subway station in Shenzhen as an example, the facility selection path of inbound passenger flow in the payment area is studied, the corresponding optimization plan is also proposed. And using the evaluation indicators(occupied space, queue length and service level)to demonstrate the effectiveness of the optimization plan.
